to take the all time top spot from Mdice....FSR Rontvia need to score at least 56 points in this contest, Kopecka at least 66, or United States Of Russiatron at least 94 points...I think Kylienips could get No.1 back with a big win as well, Bhangra are already out so will score nothing this time...Ashton will likely join the 'big 5' this time around too if Gabriella scores well enough

I would love for the odds to be replicated in the results, but I can't possibly see why Lily Allen is so highly regarded in the odds, especially taking into account what happened last time with Nonsuch's debut entry, which everyone predicted would go Top 6, if not top 3, and everyone was wrong.

Lily has form, she came 2nd for Ashton two contests ago, so there's no reason that this song, which is just as good, shouldn't do just as well

in comparison to someone like Sara Bareilles who is returning with a weaker song (no offence Adi :P) so doesn't have as good odds as she might if she had returned with a better song or equally good song as Love Song

you can't compare Kylie to Lily, The One is a very good track but I personally feel that the Freemasons remix is overproduced, I much prefer the album version...Lily's song is very instant and memorable and therefore likely to get at least a few points from each country...say 36 countries all give it 3 points each, it would have 108 points, enough for a top 5 finish, so imagine how well it will do if it gets higher than that from many countries especially considering the amount of Lily fans on this forum

I'm not at liberty to reveal how well it is doing in the voting so far, but I will say that nobody has 'nul points' so it has got at least something :D

 To be fair, she doesn't have anything as good, catchy or better than 'Love Song' on the album - at least in my opinion. :P I think it was the next best thing (:P) on the album and I really liked it on first listen - which I think is a necessary factor for this contest. I don't expect to do as well as you did with Sara at all, I'll be satisfied with being in the top half of the scoreboard though. I don't want another flop. :(

she will never better Love Song, I love her album but its downhill all the way from the first track, even though it is my favourite album of the year :heehee: that's how much I like Love Song  over 30 weeks in my top 10 or something ridiculous  but it is probably the second or third best track on the album, I started listening to it and reappreciating it more ever since you said you were entering it to this contest...it even made my top 10 a couple of weeks back!

No one on nul points you say. Good to know.

we've never had a nul pointer so no shocks there...

Yes but only about 10-15 people have voted so far, so its good to know Dumb has at least some points at this early stage.

So Fairytale is one of the worst? (it's the penultimate track)

I noticed that it made your top 10. :D I think it's one of the more commercial and catchy songs from the album after 'Love Song' - the rest of it might not be so accessible to others.

Do we have anyone on less than 6 points?

no, I meant that every song on there is worse than Love Song, the remainder of my favourite tracks are towards the end actually mostly, like City, Gravity and Love On The Rocks

I think Fairytale would be her best chance at a second hit, but she's going with Bottle It Up which is good but not amazing, and will be a complete flop

and yes, we do have somebody/more than one country on less than 6 points after 11 votes :o

Oops, I didn't read properly. I thought you said it gets worse with every track.

I think 'Fairytale' would be the best option for second single, the album isn't very commercial really. I'll be interested to see how 'Bottle It Up' goes, but I expect a flop too.

Oh dear, I don't think we'll break the worst result record yet. Surely every song that qualified has enough fans to get more than 6 points. Only the three that auto-qualified could flop, but I think the songs are decent enough to get more than 6.

I can't see that anything on Little Voice other than Love Song would be a hit anywhere in the world really, they're just not radio friendly enough :(

you have to remember that some countries qualified with small points from lots of countries, so for example 14 sets of 4 points would be enough to carry a song into the final...factor in 20 brand new songs to listen to and suddenly a lot of your small pointers get forgotten about...

it happens in the ESC too, tracks that do well in the semi (e.g. Poland) come last in the final because whoever voted for it in the semi didn't like it enough to vote for it again when there are a better selection of songs available

I agree about Sara Bareilles.

As for the second bit, I agree - which was why I think letting a country with points from more countries getting through over one that got the same amount of points from less countries is a bad idea. Surely a country that got one 12 in the semi-final is likely to get higher points in the final than one that got twelve 1 pointers?

That 2nd was a very proud moment for me,

and as for the lily fans you could have fooled me an LyricalDreamer. her forum is deserted

having lost out in the curren system I'd have to agree with you but it is very difficult to choose between the two ways and after all, if a song barely qualifies it s not that likely to do well in the final. Natasha Bedingfield got equal points with Sophie last time but only finshed 19th in the final. I expect if Sophie had gone through she wouldn't have done much better.

They withdrew from this contest :o

Yeah...we withdrew about 2 weeks ago

Should have made a note of it in here is suppose...

I now realise that i COULD have entered as i'm going away on the 19th :(

we've never had a nul pointer so no shocks there...

We should've had one in the first contest, given Charisma's obvious deal with Scassoorain...-_-

Lily Allen has same odds as Eledið suggest. :o

You really think Sangria will be on roll again? :o

in comparison to someone like Sara Bareilles who is returning with a weaker song (no offence Adi :P) so doesn't have as good odds as she might if she had returned with a better song or equally good song as Love Song

I think Fairytale is very close though.....I think it has a sort of quirkyness about it that love song doesn't.
