It's much more upbeat than I expected it to be to be honest. I thought it would be a really depressing, slow song :o

I loved Texas - they had so many classics. This is ok, but have Texas split up then?
Watchin', Rain Down Love, Love On My Minde, Nothing Hut A Heartche, Uninvited - AWESOME songs. Remix for Kylie's the One is awful.

from those, I only moderately like Love On My Mind. I thought Uninvited was ok, but was very overrated. Watchin' was done as a dance song way better by Big Ang. The One remix is great imo

The Kooks formed in 2004 while all four members were attending the Brighton Institute for Modern Music, the rock school set up by Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. Paying homage to their influences, the group displayed an accessible (and bankable) mix of Brit Pop, Kinks-like hooks, and Libertines-style punk swagger. In 2006, the band's highly anticipated debut album, INSIDE IN/INSIDE OUT, rocketed into the top five of the U.K. album charts. - HMV

On a break last I heard, Sharleen wanted to do solo work

This song is decent, but doesn't match up to a lot of Texas songs like When We Are Together, Black Eyed Boy, Summer Son, In Our Lifetime, Halo, Can't Resist etc.

yeah I agree.

Their best remixes are Beautiful Liar, Work, The One, I Decided and all the Beyonce ones

They can turn an average song into a brilliant one, I do agree!

Summer Son, Halo

I Don't Want A Lover CLASSIC

#25 for The Kooks, haaaaaaa! $h!t band, $h!t song. Totally deserved.

This is the first credited solo record by Sharon but it feels like its her 12th or 13th in her career since she was the only member of Texas to show up in most of the group's video.

Texas were in decline anyway, imo - although their music was still decent (Red Book was good) they just wern't performing in the chart as they used to be.

And HA at the Kooks - well deserved flop.

Kooks have gone downhill since their last album

Agrees.
