My dad has been mentioning to me for most of last week listen out for will youngs new one. he reckons its the best song he's heard not just this year but possibly for a few years.

I Personally think its a great song myself i have always like will's material and this is no different so i say number 1 but i think it will end up top 3 :(

Also southern fm & radio 2 have added and their playing the song to death

I still haven't heard the song, bout time I did I think haha

I would love Changes to go to #1 but i think it went to radio to early for that.

Hopefully it will be in the top 3

But he has competition from James Morrison [for both the single and album]

I agree with sunday^^

I liked Changes the first few times I heard it, but I'm already getting bored with it :( and it's not out for ages!

I really like Changes. :) Think it can definitely go top 3.

Well I think he has an opportunity here after Robbie Williams DARED to do something INTERESTING with his last album :o

#1 album and hopefully #1 single too, like this a lot!

Ahh don't get me started on Rudebox. :( <_<

And yeah what Grandwicky said, #1 album and probably a #1 single.

Hmmm I think he'll clinch it though - he's been around a lot longer than James Morrison (personally though I'll be hoping for itunes vouchers for my birthday and will buy both).

Keep On is such a great album, hope this one can top it!!

In that case I think James Morrison's album will beat him to No.1 as Undiscovered was huge wheras Will's last album only reached No.2.

The single's quite good actually. Has got that sort of warm feel to it if you know what I mean.

I dunno about a #1 album though... it'll be REALLY close between him and James Morrison I reckon. Is too close to call, as both have the sort of same main market. I've yet to hear James Morrison's new single yet (has it even been released to radio yet?) so for all I know it could be pish, but all the sort of reviews i've heard about his new stuff thus far, all say it's going to be a top album.

Not at all sure, but I think I read in the The Sun that James Morrison is doing a duet with Nelly Furtardo. Its meant to be fantastic LMAO.

I’VE heard JAMES MORRISON’s duet with NELLY FURTADO and the Smart money is on a No1 for the gravel-voiced warbler.

The Cornish soulster has teamed up with Maneater singer Nelly to deliver new ballad Broken Strings, and I’ve had an exclusive listen.

For months James has been holed up in the studio working on his next album.

His debut Undiscovered, which went straight to No1, will be a hard act to follow though.

It’s hard to believe James failed his music A-level in spectacular style, getting a U for ungraded.

I also listened to his new track, You Make It Real, which is more of his trademark sound.

I won’t rush to get it on my iPod, but it’ll sell by the shedload.

From the guy that does the Bizzare page..

In that case I think James Morrison's album will beat him to No.1 as Undiscovered was huge wheras Will's last album only reached No.2.

In the UK Will sold a million of his last album [3 singles released] James Morrison sold about 1.2 million [ 5 singles released]

so i don't think there is much in it sales wise.

Funnily enough I bought Will Young's Keep On and James Morrison's and Paulo Nutini's albums on the same day. I prefer Nutini's.
I think it's too close too call on the album front. James Morrison sold 1.2million of his debut album in the UK but who knows whether he can emulate those sales with his second. Will sold just over a million with KO & around 1.7 million of Friday's Child but he's been away for quite a while. As the lead single has a huge effect on album sales which has more appeal with the public will be very important.

James has to crack the 'second album' thing - Will is on his 4th. I think that points to a loyal fanbase?? The jury is out as far as James in concerned. He alienated a few round here when he cancelled a tour at the last minute in order to work on the album

Radio one are obviousy going to champion James, and I expect radio 2 will also A list him. He manages to be both 'cool' and 'coffee table'.

I hope Will does it though, I think he deserves it and the new album sounds like it's going to be his best yet.

It's not all about Will & James though is it? There's some other people releasing who could upset the apple cart .

Personally, I'd actually like to hear James's new material before I make any predictions. I don't think he's big enough to sell on his name alone, so the material will need to be good, and it may well be.

It's strange that two artists, who work with basically the same songwriters, can be perceived so differently. R1 are bound to get behind James, seeing him as the cool guy, but I doubt Will will even get a play on there, so it could all come down to promotion opportunities at the end.

I've heard Changes, and i quite like it. I think he'll definately get another No.1 with it.

He'll still have his fanbase with him, and i think Radio 1 will get behind both him and James Morrison.

Why can't they playlist both?

Radio 1 have always supported Will in the past, particularly Chris Moyles who's had him on his

breakfast show a few times now.

The relationship between radio one and Will seems to have taken a nosedive. Scott Mills particularly has expressed his dislike on his show  Maybe he got turned down!

What are the other contenders for no. 1 that week ? I Kissed a Girl?

McFly have a single out the same week as Will and James, so no doubt they'll have about 5 different versions on offer, I doubt Will will get no1

anyway as he doesn't seem to be much of a singles seller now anyway, it's also very different now with the downloads isn't it?
