Ive been doing about the Music Industry in Music Tech and for every £10 CD sold the actual artist ends up with less than a pound for each copy sold.

Considering theres 5 members (20p each for £10) and a £6.99 pricetag, they certainly wont be making as money as they'd like to be.

Listening to those clips none really stand out for me, its pretty a 6-7/10 thing all the way through really with 'Up', 'Keep Her' and 'Vulnerable' though it does sound rather dated.

Its rather lazy having a remix for Track 12, i think its very rude of artists/groups when they do that.

I love the sound of Keep Her and Work the most I think.

Can't wait to hear the studio versions of Issues and Chasing Lights also.

but they all sound brilliant and I think this will become one of my favourite albums of all time. Much more excited about this album than Girls Aloud.

That was a charity single though and before the album was released :P Anyway I still have to disagree with Rob as there have been many albums where the LAST single has been the biggest hit! Take 'Street Spirit' by Radiohead as a good example or if you want a manufactured example take 'Whole Again' by Atomic Kitten as an example but then again that song was much better than anything else from that album

fair do's nicky... but its still rare.. im guessing that the record companies failed to recognise the most commercial track to release first/second, but i cannot see this happening with the sats as their album tracks are well known. the only way 'work' will become the biggest hit (are we talking chart position or sales to = 'biggest'?) is if everything else around at the time is very unpopular.

after listening to the clips chasing lights would be a perfect 3th single and lies as the 4th!

OMGGGGGGGG!!!!! I mean im a Sats fan but theres no way i could ever be more excited about their album over GA's! It feels like traitory, plus the fact weve heard most of Chasing Light's tracks and 1 of Out Of Controls!!

Dont think that would happen as its been available in full online for the past few months, just might be a bit weird!

I think thats why I'm more excited, plus there new, I'm sure ill prefer Girls Alouds overall

spot on.... the third release of an album that has been released NEVER does well. (as in biggest hit)

Unless your name is Rihanna :P - Which manages to be just AS successful!

Her third single was 'Hate That I Love You' though, the only single of this era not to go top 5 - unless you count 'If I Never See Your Face Again'. It still had a long run for a #15 song, but it wasn't anywhere near as big as 'Umbrella' or any of this era's singles.

yeah but people like rihanna!!! :P

(the length of her chart runs prove this, as she is appealing to people outside her regular fanbase. the saturdays have not, will not , do this.)

But already slipping down iTunes moving further away from Pink and Kings Of Leon and Sash both closing in...

...and this is why i say 'people dont like them', because they only have a small fanbase that rushed out to buy the single upon release. their appeal to a wider audience is very minimal, so unlike the others acts in the running they wont sell so much in the second half of the week. pink and (the utterly brilliant...lol) kings of leon do have this appeal that goes beyond their targeted fanbase... atm they are #5, it wouldnt surprise me if by sunday they were lower (it would however give me a coronary if they hit top 3!!! )

I've liked both releases so far, 'Up' is my favourite and is just amazing. I don't really go around shouting I love their music, but it is pretty good.

A girl band featuring former members of S Club 8? Bearing in mind that the latter existed solely to mop up the infants who were too young for S Club 7, it doesn't bode well. But as two-fifths of the Saturdays, Rochelle Wiseman and Frankie Sandford aren't too bad. A year of major-label "development" has gone into this attempt to create a group who aren't just pop enough to sell records but good enough to win Girls Aloud-style plaudits, and Chasing Lights is a reasonably promising debut. Despite too much shrill filler, such as the title track (and the more generic the song, the more they ladle on the gritted-teeth sincerity), there are some delicious moments. The fiercely electronic Set Me Off, which gives each girl a turn singing lead, and Up, whose chorus sneers, "If you lose me, you're just a bit too slow", are high-quality pop, and there are more where those came from.
