I also thought Tom has been very clever promoting his entry, Thermostatic got no support from me as I was busy with all the hosting duties, I completely forgot to promote my entry, I don't think they even had a prominent place in my signature, I had the contest logo, and then one line at the bottom saying 'vote for Thermostatic'

if I ever host again, my entry will get the full attention it deserves :heehee:

I don't regret sending Driving though, I love it, and it was a good risk for Rontvia to take, a good break from the pop

It will certainly be interesting to see the affect of shoving a song down peoples throats compared to letting people listen to the songs at their own pace - and indeed watching the votes coming in (I'll say it once again) is VERY interesting!

Back to the age old issue of the confirmation thread - I would say there are more people in favour of the confirm one song and don't change it arguement and I would definately lead this campaign. the way I tried to do it this time was to allow people to reserve artists in the same thread as they confirmed the artist they wanted to use which I think in future is a very reasonable compromise

I think it definitely works.

Gigi D'Alessio may not have qualified for me, but I'm convinced I would not have got votes from 11 out of the 21 countries had I not shoved the song down peoples throats. In fact among the 11 countries were all 9 countries I visited on my "promo tour." Coinsidence?

Hmm I reckon the host is doing slightly better than he thought he would, or maybe I'm reading into it too much.

Before i found my BJSCXI entry I was considering to send "Hate This Part" by Pussycat Dolls, their second single which is to be released in december. I really like the song  Would it be cheap? :o
I thought the song with Missy elliot was their new one? :o - I do hope they've changed it as i do not like it at all!

I would've given it points anyway :P But it did make me listen to it once more than all the other songs so it could've made a difference. :naughty:

I suppose FNT Nickodonia gave alot of points to Herzebania. It was much appreciated after our huge support of their entries in the past :)

i know!

Bloody awful song, the only Rontivan entry not to have scored points from Ashton

IMMENSE artist but it's just really not very Rontvian is it?

well...he's Swedish, and he was in Melodifestivalen this year, just like Sibel and Sanna

or do you mean because he's a male artist or maybe becuase Glorious was a well known song and I usually go for unknown tracks?

'Glorious' is fantastic. A forgotten gem from the early part of the century!

I might go for one of those for my next entry, it's either that or what's likely to be my next personal chart number one. :kink: (unless of course one of the BJSC X entries gets there first! ^_^)

that's why I entered it to the contest, everyone knows it, but few people remember it being such a big hit (No.4 I seem to recall)

look forward to seeing Utopia's next entry :D

I hate to say this, but you have a fascination with Swedish artists, try something different preferably a female Austrian :heehee:

excuse me, Mira Craig was Norwegian :heehee:

and next time it will either be a Brit or a Canadian, although I am yet to decide
