I doubt it'll go Top 40 myself now...

This is the same as Dido. Its an rubbish comeback for her which disapoints me because i'm a huge fan of her other stuff i even own some of her albums but this new one is just awful sorry but it is.

 

I hope it flops but it will chart and i think somewhere in the top 20

Not sure about the album cause if its like this song then i hope the album flops too but i think she will have much better songs on her new album so i say top 3

I was getting laughed out of the thread practically for daring to suggest it would miss the top ten, with some people saying 'top 5 certainty' and 'Anastacia's loyal fanbase will ensure it gets top 5'

 

well what a loyal fanbase she has! it doesn't even look like it will dent the top 40 :heehee:

The song isn't even that bad. The problem is promotion. I mean, I know hardly anyone promotes their work these days, but how many people do you think even know Anastacia is back? I think the song is too good to flop but because of the lack of even trying to promote it, I think it deserves to flop. :(

(Having looked) This is my first post in this thread.

 

Firstly I'd like to say her last studio album Anastacia was a brilliant power pop/rock album with several really strong songs & career to date best vocals and she looked really good too.

 

But I can say that the comeback single makes Kelly Clarkson's Never Again look like a commercial success.

 

Last night I happened to be flicking through the music channels and I came across The Box channel who played this single then Heavy On My Heart back to back. The difference between the two was night and day.

 

Heavy On My Heart was a fantastic song, with a fantastic video & brilliant vocals with an artist who looks great.

 

But on this comeback, her vocals are more helium filled and not sound as good, and she seems to have lost her lower range and warmth to her vocals. The song is mediocre at best, it is no I'm Outta Love or Left Outside Alone that is certain. The video looks desperate, a few of her poses would embarrass "mutton dressed as lamb" Madonna. But worst of all what has she done to her face, and I know she had cancer, but the OTT breast enhancement looks wrong making her look plastic and fake.

 

Added to the fact the single has been available digitally for a few weeks and has so far failed to reach the iTunes Top 120, then it strongly suggests a comeback single that will fail to reach the Top40.
