I adore it, it's so catchy but with all this hate I may have to strongly rethink my odds for it, lower top 10 or not top ten seems more likely perhaps :o

 

4 people from the song's semi expressing hate for a track is never a good sign of guaranteed qualification :( and these 3 people are all r&b fans too! If Mira doesn't have the r&b fans on her side, I really don't see where the votes will come from now...

I'm not a fan of Headhunted either I'm afraid Rich. :( Mira's voice grates on me quite a lot tbh, and I don't think the tune is particularly good. :( I reckon it'll finish somewhere between 6-10 though still.

ouch :( guaranteed nul points from at least six countries, I don't think I'd want it to win now because a lot of people would think it was a terrible winner.

I think that's what he meant, he should have said the songs with longer odds may do better than expected.

 

I think our semi will be quite close. There are only two songs that I think are awful and another one that I think will struggle, but I think any of the other eighteen songs in our semi could qualify.

HeadHunted is the only song from FSR Rontivia that's I've actually really liked....

I like Headhunted. but i don't LOVE it. It's a grower though. As i listen to it more I like it more. I think people are just disappointed because you said with the right Production and everything it could easily be a hit for Rihanna or PCD... When i think it's more Kat DeLuna-ish...

Mira's not the best person to be singing the song in my opinion, but it has a lot of hit potential I think if she were to let somebody else cover the track...

 

perhaps it was wrong of me to make comparisons like that as I know Rihanna and PCD have a lot of fans on here who probably think this track is beneath the work of those artists, but I swear if Mira had sold this track to PCD and it had Timbaland production, everyone would love it and it would be a massive hit worldwide...it has all the right ingredients to be a huge chav anthem

it was a risk for me as I don't really know a huge amount about the R&B genre so I couldn't guage how well it would be received, but it seems that for every 1 person that like it there are 3 people that don't...

 

whereas my pop entries are generally well received so I'll go back to that...the time I tried electro with Thermostatic that was a huge flop too :heehee:

I think the reason this competition is really good is that virtually everyone seems to be voting on the song choice and not on who the nation/poster is (so an improvement on the ESC :kink:), therefore it makes it really more exciting as you can finish Top 3 in one competition, then fail to qualify for the final in the next.

I haven't listened to headhunted yet as it's not in the same semi.....but with all this talk surrounding it at the moment I think I'll have to listen to it now :P
