Posted August 27, 200816 yr Well after mixing it up in the studio with super cool Ronnie have the Kaisers come back any better? The answer is neyyy. Towards the end of the track it does get quite good I must admit, but on the whole I think it's just baaad. I don't think they've learned from their mistakes with the second album.
August 27, 200816 yr My thoughts are exactly the same. I've heard it a few times today and it's just not anything special really. Now, although YT, AM wasn't all that great, at least it had Ruby as a great lead single. Even that can't be said for this new era...
August 27, 200816 yr LOL...that's coming for not reading the whole title of the thread  . I was too excited about a new song from them. I am very curios about how it works with Ronson. :teresa:

I am very curios about how it works with Ronson. :teresa: To be honest, I don't think the whole Ronson thing comes through in this song at all. Unless I've forgotten since I heard it, if I hadn't known about Ronson working with them, I'd never have guessed, judging by this song <_<
August 27, 200816 yr Author I can sense Ronson's impact on the record... it's alot more smoother compared to their other two records. I just wonder if the brass band will come out in force for one of the tracks... haha.
August 27, 200816 yr Ok, i heard it. And i don't hear some influence from Ronson or whatever ( a little bit disspointed here). Waiting for the album now. I don't know where to put "Never miss a beat": in the big pile of "I don't like it and don't bother hear it again" or the small part of "I like it". I think i will put at the moment "Ok, let's see, perhaps will grow on me"...
August 28, 200816 yr I think it's quite good personally! Certainly better than anything off the last album apart from the first two singles! It's a decent pop song, maybe not as good of a lead single as Ruby but it's shapes their last album to hopefully be more consistant than the last one..
August 29, 200816 yr Dont like the sound of this at all. It has nothing on the likes of Ruby and I Predict A Riot.
August 30, 200816 yr Well after mixing it up in the studio with super cool Ronnie have the Kaisers come back any better? pah! reading down the thread you realize that this not as cool a collaboration as this post says   http://www.hayfestival.com/archive/img/eventimages/Corbett%20Ronnie013.jpg
August 31, 200816 yr I must say, this has grown on me a bit with a few listens...but it's still not great -_-
August 31, 200816 yr I never actually thought they would come back with a song that was worse than 'The Angry Mob', but they actually have! :o
August 31, 200816 yr I've heard this a few times and it isn't growing on me yet. I don't know why because I love all their other stuff.

August 31, 200816 yr They sound like some 70/80's band, not this 21st Century 'Anthem' sounding one. (Even though they aren't actually THAT good!!) Must be down to Ronson though.
September 4, 200816 yr Ronson seems to be generally regarded as a malevolent influence. I tend to think Ricky Wilson is more so. I predict a quiet falling off of their respective perches unless they bring back singalong pub tunes.
