Haha same. So many people saying it was a bad choice and sounds exactly the same as Just Dance which I have never thought. It's electro-pop but in a completely different vein imo. Obviously the best choice of single from the album (as sales show too) and still sounds incredible.

OVER 2 MILLION ON A SUNDAY

True. Although, i'm sure I didn't necessarily think it would be huge, but I always thought it was a bold single and a fantastic progression from Just Dance to a darker more intense production. Plus the music video further captivated me and I just couldn't take my eyes off her.

I feel so decrypted at this being nine years old :o

I don't think it sounds like Just Dance at all - for me it triumphs over that completely.

Omg this came on the radio at work a couple of days ago and instantly made me smile

This was the song that got me into Gaga! Well, the whole package of song and video. I was obsessed with the music video - I would replay it to death and even try to recreate it on the Sims  plus of course 'Poker Face' Gaga was my avatar on here for about 6 years *.* this is still my favourite single from 'The Fame', so addictive from day 1. It was absolutely inescapable at the time!

Still remember exactly where I was when I found out it was #1

Me too! I remember being so stunned though because midweek wise it wasn’t number one on any of the updates so I was literally so shocked but so happy at it actually getting there.

My favourite song from her The Fame album  ^_^

Still remember exactly where I was when I found out it was #1

Same! I was sat in my sisters room listening to the radio when they announced it, we were so happy

Exctly 10 years ago today, "Poker Face" became Gaga's second Billboard Hot 100 No. 1. It went on to become the best-selling single of 2009 worldwide, with over 9.5 million in sales that year as well as one of the best-selling singles of all time, having sold over 14 million copies.

What are your thoughts on the track now? Do you still return to it? What memories do you have with regards to it?

this is the song that brought me back to buzzjack and interested in the charts for a bit. i remember being so fascinated by her and really wanting her to get another uk #1, refreshing the live pop bars obsessively.
Love it, but wouldn't say it's a Gaga song I listen to much 10 years on.
It's an incredible pop song and I love it, but I don't feel like it's aged terribly well.

I went through a brief phase of thinking it sounded dated but recently it's been sounding so fresh for me again. A positive sort of retro feel if that makes sense.
