I think we will know if thats possible when the X Factor live show dates are made available. Cheryl and Simon said they would be the first act to perform on the show but now i've heard rumors of Leon and Leona both performing. The single isnt released until Nov with the X Factor live starting in Oct.

Basically what im trying to say is that if the girls are given the Saturday before the single release (digitally, physically or both) on the Monday i think they'll be getting their 4th number 1 (esp. if they make it available to d/l on the sunday).

What with Leona performing Forgive Me on the X Factor on Saturday 25th and releasing the CD on Monday 27th, I really don't think #1 will be available...the song would have to be right up there with the girls' best and most-commercial to achieve that...

Who knows though. And the poster who is a reliable insider said that it had been requested for other producers to submit songs for the album, but whether those songs will make the final cut is another matter.

Haha, I read it somewhere, either Popjustice or Floppop. I may be wrong though?! I just heard that she was performing it the Saturday before it came out...

THE PROMISE

Girls Aloud's 19th UK single is titled The Promise and will be available to buy in the shops and online as of 27th October. It's a stormer of a track but don't take our word for it, listen yourselves as The Promise gets it's very first airing on Switch this Sunday. Make sure you tune in to Nick Grimshaw's show on Radio 1 from 7pm to hear it.

The single will be coming along with an exclusive B side that won't be featuring on the new album as well as an exclusive remix on iTunes.

There will also be a limited edition picture disc available which will only be available through the Girls' official site so make sure you look out for more details.

We will be bringing you the girls' comeback video in a couple of weeks time along with some brand new artwork and details of the new album!

Oh my! I just collapsed and feinted

OMG! They really are pushing for it this time round aren't they?

This sounds amazing, i love new aloud news.

They really know how to give fans what they want too.

The single will get premiere on the X Factor
Sounds like it will only a 2 track release and not a maxi - a shame cos i love having the videos on there as well

I know they'll perform it on there, but is that really their first performance of it?

Surely they'll do it for the Live Lounge at least

TV premiere maybe ;)

Just like for Call The Shots.

Im hoping the premiere wont be too far away from the release, shame they couldnt peform on the sat and release on the mon.

an email from a radio station on the official forums says

it's better than Leona and Sugababes new songs put together, and is very radio friendly!

How very interesting  and there is strictly no playing it before Sunday for all radio stations apparently

LOL well if it's better than those 2 than I'd say #1 is a certainty.
