This is a nice reminder to the industry that pop is not a dirty word and, if you get the songs right, pop can make a great comeback. The Saturdays: Chasing Lights (Fascination) This debut album should gain on the early success of the girls' first Top 10 single If This Is Love. Their second single Up will precede Chasing Lights on October 13 and should further boister interest in the album, being an extremely catchy slice of Can't Speak French-esque pop. In fact, the whole album is not dissimilar to recent labelmates Girls Aloud's output and is an eclectic affair of pop, dance and electro, with some ballads thrown in for good measure. September 9, 200816 yr Top10 for single though the competition is tough at the mo so I shoulda voted top20. Top40 for the album. It looks like a Saturdays invasion on the forum lately though, there must be about 4 or 5 topics about them in the Pop forum, and now here is an other one in the Chart forum... it may be a bit too much, don't you think? ^_^ Edited September 9, 200816 yr by BJBB_Bertie
September 9, 200816 yr The song is amazing and should be top 5, but I'll say #6 for the single. The album itself will probably be borderline top 10, but more likely to land just outside.
September 9, 200816 yr If Radio 1 get behind them which I should think is likely then I reckon #06 for the single and #10 for the album. ^_^
September 9, 200816 yr Love the song and the video lol i don't even recognise themfrom their normal selves :o
September 9, 200816 yr Author there must be about 4 or 5 topics about them in the Pop forum, and now here is an other one in the Chart forum... it may be a bit too much, don't you think? Nope, there's been two in the pop forum - one which was 50 pages+ long and then the latest one which currently stands at 11 pages. This is only the second topic for The Saturdays in Chart Chat in the past month.

This is only the second topic for The Saturdays in Chart Chat in the past month. The ITIL thread, The Up & New album thread, The 'Whats your favourite Saturday member' thread, The 'do you prefer The Saturdays or Avenue thread. That makes 4 threads about The Saturdays in the Pop forum (and two of them being totally useless). That's a bit much for a band who scored a #8 hit. Next time before getting arrogant you should get your facts right darling ;)

Besides this is a prediction topic for the new album and single, and belongs here. :P
September 9, 200816 yr Loved ITIL but not impressed with Up, especially after all the hype on here. I reckon single around #14 and album around #23. Shame as they have alot of potential.

Next time before getting arrogant you should get your facts right darling Exuse me, arrogant?! My post had nothing to suggest such a thing, unlike your patronising use of 'darling', just to state a fact - i certainly aint your darling. You obviously didnt read my post properley as it states the first two examples you gave and the Avenue vs The Sats post was created a month ago now. Its been over 5 months since The Saturdays have gained popularity so of course there are going to be more than one post on them. All the other posts may be there, but this is the one to get peoples reactions and opinions on how well next month's set of releases are going to do for britains newest girlband by use of the poll. September 9, 200816 yr I'd say top10 for Up (but we have to see radio support) and top20 for the album. The labum also should come out the very same day as the new Sugababes album (October 20th)
September 9, 200816 yr Matt never 'got arrogant' :/ Dear god @ the people on this site. It's like argument or nothing at all. NOT LIKE I ARGUE Anyway, #5 for Up and #7 for the album. ^_^
