It doesnt really matter, girlbands like the Sugababes and Girls Aloud have hardcore fanbases that will support them enough to do well in the charts on there more lowkey releases. Its only very rarely when there are amazing songs like Push The Button or About You Now where they are just huge and take over the nation, Sound of the Underground not included as its a reality show straight off export, and isnt half as good as there other stuff.

It will do aswell as Sexy No No No, which is clearly better and amazing club material. I hope there is a faster remix made of The Promise though.

So, when it´s being released digitally? Is it the same week as the physical release? I repeat the same question for Leona´s song.
How can people say lower than top 5 when its being put out on full release straight after an x-factor performance? :o

It sucks that their songs end up with high positions due to promotional gimmicks, instead of the song´s merits itself...

Yeah, because GA will be forcing every X Factor viewer to buy the song won't they? If performing to a large TV audience is a gimmick most of the people making music can be accused of it. If more people know about the song, more people will buy it - it's hardly a McFly-style cheat is it?

Well said. Promotion is promotion. No one is forced to buy a song.

I know, how dare they promote on probably the largest show possible. :P

Both formats are release on 27th Oct (download may get a release on sunday).

But everyone else does so why shouldnt they?

But I´m sayng EVERY one of their singles is premiered in a charity or contest show the week or in a week prior to it´s release, and that is a gimmick because it makes the song have an instant peak and then fall like a rock. By the way, many artists are capable of achieving hits only with their radio/music channels support. But it´s understandable that Girls Aloud and Sugababes have time to be in pretty much every UK TV show, since they don´t have an international career like more high profile artists who have to split their time between UK, America, Germany, France, Australia, etc... PARDON?! You mean TWO out of their EIGHTEEN single releases?!

This song will do just fine on the chart!

The X Factor performance will do perfectly and is in no way a gimmick.

People are going to get a shock when they see this get a huge peak - I'd say at least a #2 or #3 is definite!

I mean, look at how the whole internet hype around it appeared on Sunday! :o

Yeh i dont get why people are saying its a gimmick, i mean its what fans and the public want to see obviously so why shouldnt they go on?

And i think this will surprise a lot of people when it charts.

Its definately going to be top 5 (i hope lol)

Surely that isn't right? I know that their three #1 singles were linked to Comic Relief, Children In Need and a winning song of a reality TV show. Then apart from those they performed CTS(?) on the X Factor last year. It's still FAR from all of their releases, but it's still more than two.

I think JJN might have got confused between Leona and Girls Aloud, Leona is the one who has launched every single off the back of the X Factor or charity so far. :( It seems like he's slating these two because they are releasing the same week as his idol, Dido. -_-

Couldn't agree more - And i too think it will do really well. It's definately VERY radio friendly and i think it'll peak about 3 or 4 but sell very well

Its nothing special.. not that catchy either. then im not a fan of GAs stuff, too euro pop. It will get #3 i think.
