October 2, 200816 yr #3 =] I seriously hope this doesn't get to #1...probably here worst single EVER :puke:
October 2, 200816 yr Top 3 almost guaranteed. It does sound like a "rejected track" from Blackout, but I love it. :D
October 2, 200816 yr She is American, so she uses the American spelling, nothing's wrong with that. It's still grammaticaly correct. The way I are is well more shocking for example. But the single's being released in Great Britain - Goodvibes is spot-on when he says it's rude not to change the spelling to its correct English spelling. And Womanizer isn't grammatically correct at all...in English, and in the UK, it's one thing only - incorrectly spelt. The single's naff, too, easily her worst since the 2nd album's singles.
October 2, 200816 yr Jesus, people argue over some of the most ridiculous stuff. It's one arbitrary letter. British acts rarely change spelling for America, and we never throw a fit? =/
October 2, 200816 yr I know! Who really gives a $h!t if it's gramatically correct or not?! It's a SONG. You listen to the music, it's not meant to be checked for proper grammar/spelling. Edited October 2, 200816 yr by Music Maniac
October 2, 200816 yr I know! Who really gives a $h!t if it's gramatically correct or not?! well, it seems a few of us here DO give a $h!t if the spelling's using lazy English....
October 2, 200816 yr I actually prefer it spelt Womanizer more than Womaniser  the 'Z' put's more 'Ooompf' into the word!
October 2, 200816 yr Russ conveniently ignores Ben's quite-correct assessment of the fact that no British artists change our spellings for the American market, then... Who cares? If it was a British artist then maybe. But that's the American spelling, and even if just for logistical reasons, issues of such minor trivia don't get changed from country to country. :/
October 3, 200816 yr For godness sake, I hate the song, and I voted for "flop", though I think it would go to Top 5 no doubt
October 3, 200816 yr From what I've seen, spellings do get changed for the US.... as well as name changes for books, films, cover changes for albums and books...hell, even re-makes of classic comedy just to accommodate America. The same cow-towing never seems to happen in reverse.... I think when an artist releases product in Britain - in English - the very least he or she or they can do is ensure the correct spelling is used. But that's off the point.... the single's still a really bad pile of poo. Perhaps being stoned made her more creative....?
October 12, 200816 yr BUMPS. I've edited the first post to now include the video of this lead single from Circus. As a result of the video, I think it shows that Britney is most definitely back to her best compared to the mess she was in the Gimme More promo.
October 12, 200816 yr I think all this song needed was a good video to get to number one over here and it's certainly got one, I defenitley think it'll get to number one now.
October 12, 200816 yr Well its a pretty average song that sounds like her last album so i would usually only say top 5 but i am saying top 3 because people seem to want her to do well this time.
October 12, 200816 yr yeh take that is going to be a hard one to beat because as a rule, their music is much more commercial than britney.
