For some reason when I'm clicking on threads my internet explorer stops responding  Its only just started doing it

And I've just realised that if someone posts any help in here then I might not be able to see it when I try to open the thread

Help me :nocheer:

The site has been slow for me lately. In the chart thread several member are having problem as well: Silver Rocket, val4jadan, Aaron and Chris.
just tonight or all the time?

It's happened a lot recently, already happened twice this afternoon.

It locks me out for a few minutes and doesn't respond.

thanks Ricky, switched off topic user list while we are at these peaks. Works well and saves a query per refresh per user! Might need to consider upgrading to a quad core server.

IMO setting off topic user list has no noticable effect and provides no solution to the issue of lack of available connections.

not sure as the main area on the site for optimisation is the topic view as thats where most people are (and are refreshing/ posting). The save of one query (with join) seems to help us when we are at the 400+ levels. When we had it on the site would crash at this level... maybe wrong on this but so far it seems to work!

Issue is we only need a quad core server for like 1 hour a week and for the rest our current server is more than able to handle the traffic. US server is not an option tbh due to speed difference so will look around.
