Posted October 11, 200816 yr Last year's X Factor winner Leon Jackson does 'a Leona' next week and releases his comeback single 'Don't Call This Love' which hopefully gets him to No.1 with lots of promotion, however on the horizon comic Peter Kay is set to challenge him for the No.1 spot in a shock release of the winning song from his spoof TV show 'Britain's Got The Pop Factor and Possibly a New Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice' (what a mouthful!) shown on TV tomorrow night. Of course Peter hit No.1 with Tony Christie on 'Is This The Way To Amarillo' in 2005 and topped the chart for seven weeks, and Leon was 2007's Christmas number one with 'When You Believe' So just who if either of them will be the bigger hit? It certainly would go down in history if it was Peter and it would be a huge blow to Leon, but maybe his X Factor performance and promotion will make him win Or maybe Pink or somebody else will keep them both off! October 11, 200816 yr well... seeing as comedian Peter Kay has more musical talent in his little finger than Leon whateverhisnameis has in his whole body - I, for one, would love to see Peter win it... the show tomorrow is, apparently, the funniest thing he's ever done. Can't wait.
October 11, 200816 yr I'd love Peter to beat the damp squib that is Leon but Leon will have over 24 hours worth of downloading ahead of the Geraldine McQueen song won't he? Besides ... he's been built up so much he has to get to number 1. Norma
October 11, 200816 yr after seeing his truly abysmal performance on XFactor - who, honestly, in their right minds, would part with cash to have this dreadful single? Vile.

He's gonna commit suicide live on air, then? :w00t:
October 12, 200816 yr after seeing his truly abysmal performance on XFactor - who, honestly, in their right minds, would part with cash to have this dreadful single? Vile. Yes the performance was so abysmal (it looked and sounded like he forgot to use the toilet before performing) that Syco or ITV keep removing videos of his performance last night from Youtube. If it is tight towards the end of the week then I am so buying the Geraldine McQueen song to stop this 4th rate Michael Buble copyist who robbed Rhydian Roberts of a deserved victory last year.

Sadly Leon is doing very well on iTunes. It seems there are lots of folk out there who just love making Simon Cowell rich. Norma
October 12, 200816 yr I'd love to see Peter Kay beat that X Factor winner. Can't wait for the show. I love Peter Kay's shows like Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere plus his liver shows so hopefully it should be excellent, plus the added bonus of taking the mickey at such annoying programs!
October 12, 200816 yr LOL the cover looks like Michelle McManus' album http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetail...&sku=884114
October 12, 200816 yr If this vile piece of talentless $h!te keeps what is said to be the best Sugababes album yet out of the top 3 in anyway shape or form [wishfulthinking]I will hunt the demented constipated vile waste of space down and do some serious harm <_< especially to his vocal chords. Then the world can be a slightly better place with Leon unable to sing again [/wishfulthinking] he's from west lothian, it shouldn't be too hard i'll just follow the smell of $h!te from the skirts of Edinburgh. But seriously i will be highly annoyed if this out-charts or out-sells Catfights & Spotlights. It doesn't even deserve to outsell One Touch let alone beat it's peak of #26 -_-
October 12, 200816 yr hopefully it wi;ll be goo dbattle that will boost singles sales this coming week
October 12, 200816 yr Well from watching the programme, Kay's got much more talent than Leon AND he doesn't do weird twitchy dancing, so hopefully he'll go to #1, not Leon :cheer:
October 12, 200816 yr Lets put it this way, Peter Kay might be more likeable than the looks-like-on-drugs Scotsman, but its pretty clear that Leon will cleanly win the battle.

October 12, 200816 yr Well if Geraldine's 'Winner's Song' is a fraction as funny as Peter Kay's show on Channel 4 tonight - I can imagine quite a few sales! Norma
October 12, 200816 yr What a battle this is going to be I can see the tabloid gags now: "One of them is a total & complete and utter joke ....... and ......... The other is a character played by Bolton comedian Peter Kay. Lets face it R Wayne is a far better singer than Leon Jackson and (in the end) he had a far better sob story. :D:
