Well that IS early. :P Good to kick downloads off now though I think. Talking of which, it's up from 80 to 65 on Pop. 59 pop songs in the overall 120, so it's nearly there now.

Oh good, hopefully by tomorrow it will have made it into the top 120.

IMO it's better to get the promo started before the country goes xmas mad.

Erm, yeh! Taking in mind they often do heavy promo in the week of release :rolleyes: <_<

 

Most artists put the video out and start promoting from about 6 weeks before the physical realese so i woudnt really call No Can Do early.

Within a month of physical release is perfect time to begin promoting it. If I'm honest I'm glad they're letting 'Girls' go and stopping performing that everywhere and realised that they need to perform this to try and pull the album up!

Amazing performance, i noticed they were really trying to get across that they are really grateful that they're in the position they are and that they're still not safe though. Shows they know whats going on with the album how fickle the buisness is. Loved Paul announcing the single and album twice, should of stuck in a few peoples heads.

It's FALLEN to 65. LOL. And Girls has climbed like 15 places on the main chart. :/ ODD and FRUSTRATING.

But 'Girls' is used on the Boots adverts which is played at least once every hour! :( - I think i've seen it about 3 times in 2 hours...

 

To me the best promo nowadays is adverts...

 

Adverts > TV Performances

 

The Bellamy Brothers, Gabriella Cilmi, Phil Collins, & now Sugababes are/were all having huge success with it being used in adverts. Rockstar even started climbing again thanks to the DFS advert. and now the Christmas songs are even beneffiting from adverts... Macy Gray, Mariah, Perry Comos (??) :lol: What happened to TV performances being bigger promo than adverts (Where people only hear a 'clip' :huh:

Well this is all going wrong isn't it? That horrid thing of last single taking over the new one. Except 'Girls' hasn't/isn't doing all that well.

 

Island are really doing nothing for them this era. I'd LOVE to know who's managing this project because the losses must be astronomical at this stage after all the promo they've paid for and album production costs, videos etc etc Even I could do a better job tbf.

 

It's a shame because contrary to popular belief I DO like them. This era is just a carcrash on so many levels though :(
