I like the no changing rule :heehee: it's worked wonders in this contest

I hate it.

i'd quite like the option of changing. I'm sorted entry wise for BJSCXII but if i confirm and then discover the best song in the world ever i'm f***ed under the current rules.

I'd rather not open the odds thread till after the confirmation thread has closed

so don't confirm until the very last minute just in case 'the best song ever' comes up suddenly

I'm not into changing really, I usually have a firm idea of what I want to send and am never tempted to go cheap and send the latest Pink or Kylie single for example...

the best thing about this contest for me is to introduce people to a song they would likely have never heard without this contest e.g. Smack Me, Mine All Mine, Boys & Girls, Headhunted, Nobody Without You etc...

for many other people it seems to be a case of introducing people to a song they'll know about the following week anyway when its played to death on radio

I agree, we should have the freedom to change a song if we want to, just don't open the odds thread and not many people would want to change anyway, so then the people who Really felt like they needed to change could change thier songs.

The Kingdom of Shadow have very vocally shown their support for the Anti-changing lobby, today, at midday, all Shadowans stopped what they were doing and went outside where the entire 20,000 strong population chanted 'Change is bad - Say No to Change'. The government denied they were threatening to send non-participators to Ashton dressed as eco-warriors if they failed to comply.

I usually have a firm idea. eg i know what i'm sending next time.

however something can change my mind, i'd rather confirm quickly because i know that i probs won't change, but i like knowing that i can change if i discover something new whilst trawling Myspace or Youtube.

I love this. Is it going to be released in puny places like Kathaldazia? What would be interesting is that one may not use an artist from any of the previous contests, but thats quite unrealistic anyway

Just Change It! is available for release for release in any country that wishes to release it

Don't CONFIRM then!

I really don't see what the issue is tbh. If someone isn't sure or regularly changes their mind then don;t confirm until near the end. You can still have artists you think you might use in a National Final so it's not really as if anyone can 'steal' an entry. :|

In Nonsuch Amy Winehouse & Pete Doherty have just recorded a cover of the 1986 pop "classic" from the Cast of Grange Hill "Just Say No" in favour of the rules adopted for BJSC XI. :kink:

I agree with others, if you think you might want to change your entry then don't confirm your song or artist until the last minute. Whilst if you have an artist/song that you like then by declaring it in a national final no one can use it until you've dumped it.

How come nobody was bothered before by people changing thier songs?

Before BJSC X nobody really seemed to care about people changing their songs.......

By the way "Just Change it" will be availible in Dalisska in any good retail shop on Friday next week. While the song has been availible for Download since 12.pm today.

a lot of people were bothered by it but just didn't say anything

it was quite a pain for the hosts...when I hosted BJSCVIII it became quite tiresome changing all the videos over and over again, admittedly I did change my own entry from Multicyde to Thermostatic in that contest[/hypocrite] but I was the host so it didn't matter...I would never change my entry if I wasn't the host

I think I just moan too much which made the issue a wee bit more well known in BJSC X
Changing It!!!

Mayor Juranamo has just announced that he is finally allowing jTunes to add the charity single 'Just Change It!' by Artists Stand Up For Artist Changing featuring Gabriella Cilmi, Janelle Monae, Lily Allen, Stefy, Sugababes, Mutya Buena, Camille, Red Blooded Women and Rachel Stevens. Mayor Juranamo has stated to Juranexpress that whilst Juranabaijan has never had any plans to change their entry after an initial decision, he can understand that other countries will clearly want to change their song if something different comes along. The Juranamese cover for the song, released on CD Single on the 25th of October after being performed in the 11th BuzzJack Song Contest final in Mdice, below.

Juranexpress apologises for the awful quality of the cover art :(
