July 27, 201015 yr Author Adored this!! Just thinking of Bodybag is making me LOL, didn't she become a goody towards the end? I can't even remember what happened in the end  I'm up to series 5 now, there's all sorts i'd forgotten about! lol
July 13, 20196 yr Iconic show I’m rewatching it all currently at series 5. Snowballs suicide is coming up soon, and that hanging cell scene too poor Yvonne. What’s people’s favourite series of this and characters? Amazing show one of my very favourites. LOVED Yvonne, Bodybag, Jim Fenner (what a baddie), Karen Betts, Nikki and Helen, Di (lol for comedy really) The Julie’s were iconic!! Also loved Shell in the early series but hated her return in 5! In the later seasons my favourites were The Costa Cons and Natalie The standout moments did me were Rachel’s suicide In S1 Monica’s release in S1 Shell stabbing Fenner and Nikki escaping at the very end of 2, beginning of 3 Maxis suicide and Snowballs the show had some harrowing suicide scenes what were so shocking Yvonne’s death :( Also loved the bomb at the end of 4. The costas escape too was hilarious  The Tanya Turner crossover So many moments gahhh!! Edited July 14, 20196 yr by Jordan Lee

It’s crazy how I always see Joanne Froggatt as being Rachel even though she’s like the most successful person to come from the show.

August 23, 20195 yr I’m onto S7 of this now. I remember loving S7 at the time tbh. It should’ve been the final season as it would’ve ended on a high imo (well with a few tweaks but it was better than the final season we got). But one thing what annoyed me was Frances was never seen again after S6 but she did get a mention But we never got a mention of what happened to Kris or Selena. And Karen Betts too it would’ve been nice to at least get a mention of what happened to her. Tbh I noticed in S6 though that a lot of characters left at the end of 5 with no real exit. Denny and Barbara really should’ve been seen on screen to air their responses to Yvonne’s exit. Still though it’s such a good watch. It’s crazy watching shows back and looking at life back then. Some lines could never be shown on TV now as it was rather racist and homophobic!
February 27, 20205 yr I’m back watching this again! Maxis death scene is legit the most disturbing scene across the entire 8 series out together for me can never watch it without hiding my face. “Ye wanna die Maxi, I’ll help yer” :puke2: :puke2:
February 27, 20205 yr Yvonne's death is one of the most harrowing in any show tbh, gets me every time! Gives me chills just thinking about someone going out like that.
May 3, 20205 yr Yvonne's death is one of the most harrowing in any show tbh, gets me every time! Gives me chills just thinking about someone going out like that. I rewatched s5 again since lockdown happened and my next episode is Yvonnes final episode. I was putting off from watching the second half as I know what’s coming and it always gets to me. There’s scenes in the episodes before hand now what almost foreshadow what happens throughout s5 it’s hinted quite a lot that Yvonne will die in prison. The fact it’s pretty much left to the imagination too at the end of 5 is creepy as anything too like that torch light going out leading to the final credits -_- At the time I was so sure we’d start off s6 with the cellar being empty with Yvonne making a last minute cameo in some luxury hotel somewhere having somehow gotten out :( but I’ve seen somewhere that Linda Henry requested for Yvonne to be killed off. Genius writing though and a really sick and evil way to kill someone too and without physically touching them!
May 4, 20205 yr I did a rewatch just before going to uni but that was years ago so it’s definitely time for another one. I think I watched it on Drama back then so will need to find another place to stream I guess
May 5, 20205 yr I've just been sent a link with every series omfg. There's my nights sorted over the next couple of months

May 6, 20205 yr Yvonne's death is one of the most brilliant and harrowing tv deaths of all time. I just remember being completely GOBSMACKED by it.
May 6, 20205 yr Yvonne's death is one of the most brilliant and harrowing tv deaths of all time. I just remember being completely GOBSMACKED by it. It stands out so much because of how unique it was! In terms of fictional deaths / exits I’ve never seen anything like it before and still haven’t to this day.
May 6, 20205 yr Sharing is caring. What’s the link? I have them on DVD but I’ve got so many friends I want to get into this show Messaged ^_^
May 18, 20205 yr Natalie Buxton is about to properly arrive on the wing in my next episode. Always found it fascinating how someone convicted of what she did somehow managed to win round the inmates in S6! It’s also amazing how the dialogue was so different on this show. Sylvia Hollamby was so blatantly and openly racist to people’s faces so many times.
