me me!

I was starting to wonder if it would reappear this year. I am starting to backtrack through and buy the DVD's. Got S1 & 2 so far.

Yeah, I quite like "Spooks", but it has to be said, the plots do get a bit outlandish and silly at times, it's placed somewhere between "Smiley's People" and "James Bond"... Also the fact that they keep getting rid of characters almost as much as they change socks... I think Harry must be the only character who's been there since episode one....

Anyone remember the days of Zoe, Danny and Tom....?

I just wonder if they'll end this series with the nuclear explosion at the 2012 Olympic games

which kicks off the spin-off series "Spooks - Code 9".... Mind you, I didn't really think much of "Code 9" tbh, it seemed far too much like a CBBC drama... Really quite childish, sloppy and unsophisticated in terms of plot and dialogue, and I dont even think it was particularly well made.... "Spooks" might get a tad silly at times, but it still retains a certain class.....

Apparently there is 2 episodes per week, Monday and Tuesday, I think there is a third episode on BBC3 next Tues.

Hmm, they must be doing two-part story arcs like "Silent Witness" or "Waking the Dead" this season.... I actually preferred the last series which had a big plot strand going all the way through the series with lots of little sub-plots making up individual episodes....

They've always done that 'one episode ahead' thing on BBC3 though....

makes sense, seeing as it's starting later than normal. Just means 2 nights of sitting in front of BBC One  then Heroes on Wednesdays, Sarah Connor on Thursdays. :(

Absolutely love Spooks. I love how they're not scared of axing main characters, which makes it stand out against other programmes on at the moment and very unpredictable. It can be sad though :(

Seems like it hasn't been on for ages! And I wonder what happens to Jo :o (That was the end of the last series, wasn't it?)

It was... They certainly implied that Adam humanely "euthanised" her so she wouldn't have to suffer being tortured at the end of season 6, but it wasn't stated as 100% fact, so that has to be tied up...

I think she's alive personally. It was implied that Adam euthanised her, but I don't think that's the case.

Richard Armitage is joining the main case as well this series.

Yes, I am - I've got all six series on DVD.

Malcolm was in the first series as well - he told Zoe that he had an inflatable mattress in his house.

I saw the first two episodes, didn't like them, and didn't see the rest.

And offering someone who had only just started that day the top job? Yeah, that's gonna happen (it would be like Olivia usurping Fiona's position when O started a couple weeks back).

I also remember them criticising the "terrorists are getting younger, so the intelligence people should be younger" bit as being unrealistic. Which it wasn't: two of the July 7 bombers (Germaine Lindsey (Kings Cross), and Hasib Hussain (Tavistock Square) were teenagers.

this is your Spooks reminder

2nd episode is on BBC Three tonight I think if you can't wait for tomorrow, and I believe episode 3 follows tomorrow nights BBC One episode on BBC Three too :D

I'm watching both episodes tonight

And this is another Spooks reminder

Can't wait!

I hope it doesn't all get so confusing as last series though.

Politics and all that jazz can be so hard to understand :(

Might only watch the first episode, because Dead Set starts tonight at 10pm on E4!

Wasn't obvious to me!

I know the producers obviously don't worry about killing off main characters, but I didn't think they'd ever kill off Adam!

At least Jo's back though -_-

It wasn't obvious to me, I guess that's why Richard Armitage was brought into the series.

I think Rupert would make a great Bond after Daniel Craig.

:o at Adam dying! This is possibly one of the best things on the TV at the mo ^_^
Was pretty obvious Adam was gonna die imo!

I could see it a mile off.

Ahem, SPOILERS dude.... :P

To be fair though, it wasn't exactly a huge leap... No, I think the bigger surprise was Ros coming back pretty much like nothing happened......

To be honest, I thought the opener was sloppily plotted, too much stuff going on, too many characters buzzing around, the new guy, Ros coming back, Jo being "depressed" or whatever, soldiers being kidnapped by Al Qaeda, dodgy Russians, dodgy Chechens, car bombs... TOO MUCH for one episode frankly and way too many leaps of logic; it didn't really all hang together IMO, which is odd considering that "Spooks" is usually pretty tightly plotted....
