I have an awful feeling Ruth will be botton 2 which is something i dont want,, i missed diana 2nite as she is my fave

from the judges point of view id love jls and eoghan to be bottom 2 and see simon an dlouis go mad

however out them all id be happy to see rachel go as im sick of her complaining and sob stories

:( I'm gutted at this week. I knew they'd be predictable and go for all the old songs and ballads but I was at least hoping for something like 'Fantasy', 'Dreamlover', 'Emotions', 'Heartbreaker' or 'Always Be My Baby' to pick it up a bit. -_- It's a shame Diana didn't get to perform, not because she's the best but because she had the best song imo.

I'm a big fan of Mariah but everything from her performance to the contestants performances was dull. I was really looking forward to this week but the song choices just made it boring. :(

Daniel - Oh come guys give him a break already he wasn't that bad tonight. Great vocal and a great song choice and probs his best performance so far 8/10

Alexandra - Obvious song choice, well sung but she did mess up a bit with the high notes, but otherwise it was good but not great 7/10

I say Eoghan and Rachel ( ) In the bottom 2 and i hope Eoghan goes but if its Ruth there against either i prefer her to stay over Owen but not Rachel :D

On the whole an dull show i think :(

Oh and another thing I was disappointed in - most of them were covers of covers. ('Endless Love', 'Against All Odds', 'Open Arms' and 'Without You') -_-
Daniel - No worse than the others, actually so far the best after Laura :o 7/10

I'm so glad someone said that! They were all sh/te tonight but Daniel was by no stretch of the imagination the worst (not even in the worst four for me). Alexandra was frigging terrible! The only song I knew (and for me it will always be a Harry Nielson song - NOT a Mariah Carey song) and she made a frigging pigs ear of it. She started the song way down in her boots so that she could reach moderately high notes. Has anyone here ever heard the Nielson version - I think not - because he sings it 100% better than Mariah Carey anyway.

01: Eoghan

much much better than last weeks diar attempt at signing. Still rather dull and average though. At a push you could say he was decent(ish) 5

02: Ruth

Well Ruth was fabolous as always. Some great vocals aswell, though not as good as Purple Rain or last weeks performance. 8.5

03: Laura

Yes, she's good and everything, very good voice and well done for pulling off the piano aswell. I still say she's rather screechy though. 7.5

04: Rachel

I've always considered Rachel to be the weakest of the girls but tonight she put herself right there at the top with Alex and Diana. Well done her, a fabolous performance all round from Rachel 9.5

05: JLS

Very good performance from JLS, i definatly agree they're the best group so far on the X Factor but they are still yet to wow me the way Rachel, Alex, Ruth and Diana tend to go regulary. 8

06: Daniel

Not bad considering it was Daniel. Still hope he's the one to go though. 4

07: Alexandra

One word. Wow. That was incredible from Alexandra, the best so far from her and probably so far this series. It will be a crime if she's not in the final after this performance. 10

Ranking

1. Alexandra

2. Rachel

3. Ruth

4. JLS

5. Laura

6. Eoghan

7. Daniel

I honestly don't know how anyone can say Without You was Alexandra's best performance so far! I loved her Candy Man and On The Radio last week - tonight her performance was an absolute let-down and I'd put her in the bottom two.

So it appears that according to the odds Dannii will have the bottom two acts..... but which ones .... you decide.

I totally agree Alexandra has sung better on a couple of previous occasions, but with the exception of Daniel tonight, all the acts have sung better on previous Saturday's.

I don't think Without you was her best performance, it's certainly up there though but I prefer Candyman too. :)

Ranking

1. Alexandra 9/10 wasnt her best but miles better than the rest

2. JLS 8/10 Love the song, love them, good vocals!

3. Laura 7/10 should have had someone else do the piano and concentrate on singing, was good though

4. Daniel 7/10 best performance from him and was quite impressed as hes usually not too good!

5. Ruth 6/10 performance was missing something bt ok vocals and shes beautiful

6. Eoghan 6/10 his strongest performance but hes usually c**p

7. Rachel 0/10 no comment

01: Eoghan

I dont understand how people think he can sing. Hes not bad but hes nothin' special. Tho better than last week. He was at his peak in the middle

02: Ruth

Shes a great performer tho a hard song for her, but still a solid effort so i hope she stays.

03: Laura

Got a little 'shouty' tonight at the end of the song, and very low at the startt. Tho i think she has an awesome voice and should be safe.

04: Rachel

This was beyond rubbish. She shouted her way through the performance and didnt have a good tone right through. I think she should go - shes always complainin' anyway.

05: JLS

They're alright, nothing special. Tonight that guy who opened it was a bit pitchy tho then it got more rythym. Dont think they'll win but will probably do well.

06: Daniel

Not as bad as usual tho I think he might be the one to go. who knows

07: Alexandra

very predictable song choice :P Anyway she delivered good. She'll probably win.

This is the first Ive talked about the shows, so - I think its quite a good year. Alot of people seem quite good and I think this will be the first time where there will be a few people who will gain success from a series, wheras before its just been the winner. I think Alex, Laura, Diana, JLS & Ruth will all probably do well regardless...

Am I missing something with Eoghan? Each week he consistently fails to deliver - sounding more like a kid at a school musical production than a pop star.... this week he excelled himself - he was even worse than the week he massacred 'Imagine'. Just dreadful. And he looks like a dwarf in a gonk wig... I'm sure even pre-pubescent girls can't be that stupid as to fancy him.

Alex was way and above the best..... she's a far better singer than her closest rival Laura who I thought this week messed up... but power to her for showing her talent and versatility by playing piano as she sang.

Rachel made a mistake choosing a very very dull song... her nerves got the better of her and she was off-key more than on..... and styling herself was a colossal mistake - she looked abysmal - all wrong.... so unflattering.

Daniel gave his best performance.... but his best isn't anywhere near good enough - and why oh why have they dyed his hair ginger?!

JLS remain what they've always been.... 3 backing singers and the lead singer, little one whose name I don't know... he's the only star - the rest look like they've run onstage fresh from a Saturday job at JJB Sports... I so agreed with Cheryl's Westlife comments, too.... "Miss Showbiz" indeed - how repulsive is Louis Walsh? Almost as repulsive as the acts he manages - but not quite.

Ruth was great as usual - the arrangement was perfect, understated and lovely... but the lower notes sounded a struggle for her. She so doesn't deserve to be in the bottom 2, and certainly doesn't deserve to go this early whilst there's fluff like Eoghan still hanging around.

Bottom 2 for me is, without doubt, Eoghan and Daniel... I don't care who goes. I have an awful feeling, though, that Chris Moyles' campaign may succeed and Daniel will stay in just to pee off Cowell.... and the bottom 2 could be Rachel and Ruth.... which would be an absolute travesty.

The one performance of the night I found achingly boring, flat, dull and listless was from Mariah Carey herself.... whose career seems to be in freefall.... I like how XFactor splashed her credentials across the screens about her number ones... but failed to let the viewers know that these were actually her chart placings in America, not here, where her chart performance is, at best, lukewarm. She fell flat on her arse tonight - a truly awful performance of possibly the most boring song she's ever sung.

I totally agree:

Nilsson - Without You (1972)

A cover of this album track (and my favourite version):

Badfinger - Without You (1971)

I think any of them except for Alexandra could end up in the bottom 2 tonight. Although at a push it is probably going to two of Dannii acts which hopefully means bye bye Daniel.
