Oh, LOL! She's too ill to sing on the week she'd struggle with her vocals, doing Mariah - how 'coincidental'! :lol:

I think Leon Jackson is enough to show that anyone can do Mariah. -_- That said, it's more nerve-wracking this week with Mariah in the building. It's a bit like last year when Niki Evans performed 'My Heart Will Go On' with Celine Dion watching.

 

I highly doubt that she'll be given the night off, has it ever happened before? They'll just have to force her to sing and hope for the best. It's not like they can go "Oh she's too ill this week, she wont be performing. She gets a free pass to next week."

 

As for Mariah performing 'Hero' with them, bleh. It's just another week they'll spend keeping good songs from the top. I really want Mariah to take over the whole performance and make them all look rubbish but that would make her look like a b**ch.

I think something similar happened in Pop Idol with Rik Waller, he was kicked out and replaced with Darius! I hope she will perform though :cry:

Laryngitis leaves Diana speechless!

 

Diana Vickers may miss tomorrow's X Factor after being stuck down with a nasty bout of laryngitis.

 

Diana lost her voice on Tuesday and medication has not sufficiently helped her recovery.

 

The 17 year-old from Blackburn will see specialist ear, nose and throat doctors this afternoon; the doctors will then decree whether or not Diana should take place in this week's competition.

 

Although fellow competitiors Alexandra and Rachel have already battled through performances while struck down with bugs, it looks like Diana's illness may be just too severe.

 

Unfortunately Diana has already missed a lot of preparations in the run-up to tomorrow's all-important show.

 

But the singer is still hoping against hope she will be able to take part in the extra special Mariah's songbook show this week.

Oh they're being stupid. I bet Simon has seen that they could by knocked off by good acts this week or the next so they leave it until 2 weeks to air an video to secure it there. Sorry that's cruel :(

I can't say I will miss the "OMG Diana was amazing!" and "DIANA IS THE WINNER" comments though.

Doctors have told X Factor favourite Diana Vickers to quit tonight's show as she battles laryngitis.

 

A source said: "Diana would be crazy to go ahead. She could hardly speak yesterday and risks damaging her voice."

 

Bosses have delayed a final decision until a few hours before the show.

 

If Diana, 17, doesn't take part she would get just seven days to sort out her voice.
