The video and song may be more tasteful to the US market, but she'll never forget her roots. She hasn't changed one bit if you watch interviews from the past and from recent times. :)

You are right there. From what I've seen and read as a person she hasn't changed at all - she's a very sweet-natured girl but one that is strong enough to stand by her principles. I appreciate that she had to try something up-tempo - but this song really isn't worthy of her at all. Someone posted earlier that something along the lines of 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' would have been better and I think they were right. Then again - Akon - need I say more?

And undeniably talented -doesn't need studio enhancements coughBritcough to get her voice where it is. Good luck to her, I say. Pray she tops the 'imports' . Bey's song is 'taken' from BC anyway - have a listen to the original and see what I mean - and Brit 's is her huge comeback. Leona's just a 'feeler' (no major release, no major -or XF- promo) and a very good tune at that. :)

I don't understand why Leona missing #1 or #2 is such a big deal? Oh yeah, she might make "just Top 10", therefore she's having a US-induced backlash ala Joss Stone? It's so hard to get more than 2 Top 10 hits off an album now, I'd say two MASSIVE singles (not including her first) and one Top 10 is very good.

Reality check people, not every song released by an artist will get to #1. Since when was top 5 considered a flop? (it will most likely land at #5 on Sunday) The song has had minimal promo and is doing just fine. It's not launching her album, it's not a make or break song, album #2 is confirmed regardless of how FM performs.

No, she's just bought the flat she's been renting for the last couple or years in Hackney. Which is in London. The United Kingdom. Anout a 12 hour flight from LA. ;)
