  • I loooove ‘I Got You’ and I think it’s extremely underrated. Maybe have that after OMH for the big XF slot.

Been listening to tracks from this album for the past week or so (in preparation for the new album, obviously!) and it's just failing to get old. Like seriously. It's such a step up from the (excellent anyway) 'Spirit' it's not funny. I genuinely can't believe how fresh and "now" most of it sounds. 'Naked' is easily the best thing she's ever done for me.

Imma have to rate this now, but it's such a fantastic and brilliant album still! Ahhhh.

09.0 'Happy'

10.0 'I Got You' Exit to tha left hatahs!

10.0 'Can't Breathe'

08.0 'Brave'

09.5 'Outta My Head'

09.5 'My Hands'

08.0 'Love Letter'

08.0 'Broken'

11.0 'Naked'

08.5 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out'

07.0 'Don't Let Me Down'

10.0 'Alive'

10.0 'Lost Then Found' (feat. OneRepublic)

07.5 'Stone Hearts'

Excellent.

'I Got You' (despite never actually knowing what she's saying in the chorus ), 'Broken', 'Brave' are all GEMS. Definite 10 out of 10 moments. 'Naked' is also very good too and 'Happy' has grown on me a lot more this the release.

I only really realised from when 'Collide' was released and I went back to listen to 'Echo' just how good it actually is and how much I do love Leona <3

I LOVE Naked! I always wondered why she didnt sing it on tour! Would of been such a great single, and so curious what the video would have been like!

Broken is so powerful as well, think its her msot powerful song. She said its her favourite to perform live, but didnt sing it on tour..

She also said 'Yesterday' from Spirit is her favourite song she has recorded..

YES at the love for Naked! I also think it's the best song she's ever done.

I have much love for 'Alive' too, it gives me shivers

It really would have made a great second single I think!

Ah Alive and Broken are spine-tingling!

Are we aware that this masterpiece is now on Red Vinyl???

That’s great news!

Also it just celebrated its 16th birthday on November 9.

Where does the time go?

Just seen it, looks glorious! Glad Sony also added on the Echo era b-sides, US exclusives and I See You for the vinyl.

Shame we don’t have most of those on streaming, downloadable or a cd version still. sad

Would love that version on streaming. I think it has everything from the Echo era.

Such a mishandled era in terms of single choices and order of release etc but I can't fault the album.

Brilliant album, but so poorly handled by the record label.

I actually listened to it a few days ago. There were so many options for singles, how they messed it up so badly is beyond belief.

01. Outta My Head (July)

02. My Hands (Nov)

-Album-

03. Can’t Breathe (Feb - US Promo)

04. Naked (May)

Is what I would have done tbh.

I understand what they were trying to go for, but wash, rinse, repeat clearly didn’t work!

I think I Got You was a good single so I'd have still slotted it in somewhere but Happy was not it as far as being a lead single (would have been a fine album track), a predictable choice that derailed the era from the off. Imagine the statement of returning with Outta My Head!

I loooove ‘I Got You’ and I think it’s extremely underrated. Maybe have that after OMH for the big XF slot.

I’d have gone for:

Sep 2009: Outta My Head

Dec 2009: I See You (included on album)

Mar 2010: Naked

Jun 2010 US: Can’t Breathe

Jun 2010 WW: My Hands

I Got You has always been a non-event for me oops.

Also it’s weird that Stop Crying Your Heart Out got the X Factor final slot but barely reacted commercially (compared to how her performances had done in the past) even though she knocked it out of the park vocally as always.

An Outta My Head performance on the final would have been electric although I doubt she had a say in the matter as she had a contestant journey montage playing behind the Stop Crying performance which wouldn’t have worked on an uptempo.

Was it a contractual obligation to put that cover on the album? Maybe they’d banked on it being a safe smash like Run in the case of other singles not catching on as expected.

Yeah I think SCYHO was definitely intended to do a ‘Run’ - a perfect example of Simon/Syco’s wash-rinse-repeat strategy. She was definitely sidelined during that XF final in favour of the Alexandra/JLS collab as well. 😞

I'll truly never get over how 'Outta My Head' was right there and they just wasted it, it would have became a signature hit for her!

Such a shame the album campaign was messed up so badly, especially seeing as the album is actually way way better than Spirit.

100%

And they did the exact same thing with the song Glassheart. 🥱 It’s like they desperately wanted her to be doing ‘current’ music yet got cold feet when it came to picking singles. Seriously, Lovebird over GH? 😭😭
