To be honest, outside of Rich, Tyron and a couple of select others the odd time, I've not heard "Smack Me" being raved about nearly as much as its made out to be. And it certainly hasn't "defined the modern BJSC" despite the era being named after it :rolleyes:

I think it's clear to see from these nominations that a song being a hit now will not hinder its chances, with "Up" "So What" and "The World Should Revolve Around Me" all finishing comfortably on top of their groups.

 

I now think Katy Perry will walk it, and deservedly so.

:lol: it is a bit overhyped to be honest, even though it's one of my entries...I merely play up to the hype, even I don't like it as much as Tyron and Phil seem to :heehee:

 

as I said before, it's the least favourite of the songs that I've sent musically, but I was still very impressed that it came top 5 and the song reminds me of passing my driving test so it has a nostalgic connection to me :wub:...and it doesn't 'define the modern BJSC', it kicked off the modern era BJSC when I found this song and demanded that the contest be restarted asap :kink:

Oh thats a shame Dumb didnt make it. To be expected though, at least it got some nominations, im really suprised Superhuman got more than La La Love though.

But we've got proof now that they wouldn't be hindered surely? Now that those three songs all won their groups quite convincingly.

 

Margaret could still do it, as it has a very definite "Buzzjack Song Contest" identity, but I think Katy Perry is a major threat.
