I'm amazed that Diana's umm 'unique interpretation' actually encouraged anyone to download that song.

How can you describe Leona's management as incompetent? They've done a brilliant job of masterminding her career both here and abroad - most artists would kill for similar management I would imagine.

 

Surely the decision on when to add a download is down to the record company/label SonyBMG and Syco, and really one day isn't going to make a lot of difference in terms of the overall success of the song is it? Her management/record label have over the last few months secured some of the best promotional opportunities an artist can have, including The Olympics, Nelson Mandela concert, x factor appearances, Brits etc, plus US appearances. She's had brilliant airplay for all her tracks, - Leona fans really are very demanding lol.

 

She should try coping with the second rate promotion and management most Syco acts have to put up with.

Well yes, quite.

 

However, last week they did muck up by releasing Forgive Me a day later than the other girls releasing that week (Britney, Beyonce and Christina) thus giving them a full days sales more than her, had she had the extra day of sales she could have been a few notches higher. I think Leona fans (including I) are getting annoyed because Forgive Me could have performed better had her management acted appropriately, and thus the same with Run. Had Run been released at midnight last night she could have had an extra day of sales and thus had a larger tally at the end of this week. I'm not going to be so naive as to say "OMGZ SHE WILL DEFFO BE NUMBA1!" but 1 day of lost sales could indeed make all the difference. So I think that's why people are annoyed. :P
