Pretty static chart this week.

Apparently Beyonce and X Factor have the #1 and #2 slots sewn up as there is only 565 copies between them, with The Killers a further 2.5k back from Beyonce as posted yesterday.

 

If that's the case then, they will probably pass Beyonce, with their weekend physical sales hike :(

Am i the only one not suprised at Rain On Your Parade not being a huge hit. For starters its a very weak song when compared to Mercy and Warwick Avenue, and really no one seems to be taking that much attention of it,

I think the orchestration and arrangement is superb on ROYP - if questioning why it hasn't done well I'd suggest it does feel a bit like a Mercy re-tread and for whatever reason, Duffy sounds a bit screachy. Given the airplay it's had on Radio 1 and 2 I'm surprised it's not done better.

I completely agree 6weeks, although IMHO it doesn't sound anything like Mercy. It does sound a bit too much like a Bond theme though, and considering the real Bond theme hasn't done too spectacularly though, it's kind of par for the course...

It obviously wasn't do as well as Mercy but I honestly thought it would make top 10.

 

I think it's most probably due to lack of promotion.

It's a really good sign for the Girls that they're starting to translate single sales into album sales - should be good for their back catalogue too.
