T.I. And Rihanna for the singles chart, even though it's a terrible song that I can't believe anyone takes seriously after 'Numa Numa'.

As for albums, I still have faith that Guns N' Roses can outsell The Killers. Chinese Democracy is arguably the most hyped rock album of all-time, and thus far, it's been getting largely positive reviews. I also know for a fact that there are a lot of GNR fans, myself included, who will be buying MULTIPLE copies of the album. For Chinese Democracy, actually owning the physical CD is going to be an experience in itself for GNR fans. It's like a collector's item, and that's one of the main reasons why I think it'll outsell The Killers.

Don't forget also that GNR have a massive hardcore fanbase - I mean, 'Chinese Democracy' [single] got to No. 1 on iTunes in Norway, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Portugal and Luxembourg, and Top-5 in several other countries. There'll be the hardcore contingent who'll buy the album on release day, and then you'll get the curious rock/metal fans who want to hear what it sounds like, and then you'll get old-school GNR fans who grew up listening to the original line-up. I think it stands a huge chance of getting to #1 on the albums chart, but no doubt The Killers will run it extremely close.

I don't think GnR have a cat in hell's chance of beating The Killers, I know they've got a big fanbase (so have The Killers), but a lot of people just think GnR are a joke now, and the album must have leaked about 12 times over the course of the past year! They'll get to #2, but I really don't think they'll be a match for The Killers at all. The Killers are #1 on EVERY pre-order site i've looked at for the past 3 weeks.

Single; Take That

Album; Guns N Roses

Metallica and AC/DC got to No. 1 without being No. 1 on pre-orders.

And, like I said, the album leaking won't be an issue - the attraction of it finally being released is that people get to own a physical copy of the album. That's why some GNR fans are buying multiple copies of it - one to play and one to put on the mantel-piece!

Guns N' Roses put Chinese Democracy up for streaming on their mySpace website yesterday - http://www.myspace.com/gunsnroses.

Garnered nearly two million plays in one day, and is already at a quarter of a million plays today. Reaction so far has been very positive, even from those who didn't think the album would be any good.

Yet more evidence that GNR have the fanbase to beat The Killers to top of the albums chart. Really hope they can do it - I think it's a turning point for rock music depending on which one wins.

Voted Take That on the singles front - although I think Britney's Womanizer is the "best" of an astonishingly poor bunch.

And The Killers for the albums.

Singles - Take That by a MILE.

Albums - Sadly I think Rhydian will shift over 200k (remember g4 sold well), which may well be enough to beat The Killers. :(

Guns N' Roses album just went GOLD in Netherlands after only being on-sale for seven hours!

Yes that IS impressive, but how many of them were from the UK and how many of them listened to the album more than once? Also, more importantly, how many of them will actually BUY the album, and how many of them will download it illegally and not bother with the album until it's on offer or something? (Or nowadays until the Deluxe edition is out :heehee:)

I take back my previous statement.

Take that are performing live on X-factor so they are definately Number 1!

I have a sneaky feeling Same Difference will be top 5,doubt they will manage anything beyond that.

Hope Womanizer climbs Though, I have just Pre-ordered Her album I love The Single Circus it's going to be massive I think :P

Take That will be #1 in the singles, no question!

The Killers I think will be #1 in the albums but it's not as forgone of a conclusion as some people think!

I reckon next weeks chart will be as follows

1)Take That ...........easily

2)Beyonce

3)XFactor

4)T.I

5)Katy Perry

6)Killers

7)Britney Spears (climbing into the top 5 after Xfactor)

8)Same Difference

9) Alesha Dixon

10)Girls Aloud

Albums

no.1 the Killers...the end!

take that in the singles and the killers in the albums,,,it will be a great week as many of those will go to p10 in singles and albums chart and hopefully it will mean huge sales also,,id really love take that to get that 11th number 1 and id lik ethem to get more number 1;s than westlife to as take that deserve it more tham them

I suppose the Killers will open with more then 300,000 copies of their album sold... they hype is immense!

Guns N Roses have a huge fanbase, however the music on the new album is almost unlistenable, plus this isn´t even the real Guns N Roses, it´s just a sickened version of Axl Rose with some random musicians.

Velvet Revolver was more "Guns N Roses" then this new G´N´R.

Voted Brit for singles but didn't spot TT :heehee: I recon of that list itll go:

1. TT

2. Brit

3. Katy

And on the albums:

1. Killers

2. Guns n Roses

3. Kanye

That's your opinion, and it is a minority one. The reaction so far has been generally positive. Sure, it doesn't sound like the GNR of old, but it's a fresh and modern rock record. And in terms of production, it's probably the best album ever made.

Velvet Revolver might have had more ex-GNR members, but the music was average. People should judge a band by their music, not by their name.

I think Britney's peaked with Womanizer now. When the physical's released, it'll probably climb to #6 or something. But I doubt it'll go top 3. Stupid Jive releasing the download too early.
Take That and the Killers for me. Though I do wonder if the Killers sales will be affected by the luke warm reviews for the album.
