I'm not a fan of recycling my own artists.

Ahahahaa, Lisa Miskovsky! She's been entered into this contest before did you know? :o She came fourth in BJSC II, and I noticed her name in the release schedule and did half wonder whether she would be entered again!

Rich's entry is top 100 on iTunes right now I think, I don't know why though

Someone better call Ashton then. :kink: Though Gabriella Cilmi worked for them fine. I don't know why that's the general case though, it often works when people recycle other people's artists (Lily Allen, Lady GaGa, Robyn and Ladyhawke have all had two top 5 finishes and three of those were sent again as soon as they possibly could have been)

Because it's used in a PS3 game advert called "Mirror's Edge" haven't got the game but the song is AMAZING!

clever choice by Rich then, I thought Nonsuch were going down the more alternative British route this time around...

I was until I discovered that song by an attractive Swedish singer who looks like Lucie Silvas and sounds like Andrea Corr with a Scandinavian accent being backed up by members of Coldplay, Keane and A-Ha.

sounds right up my street anyway, I'm not complaining

Margaret has one decent song imo

<_<

:o Shock reaction to Nonsuch's change in direction, I was quite looking forward to throwing my 12 points at Ladyhawke! Allas it was not to be, nice alternative though ;)

How would The 411 do again if i entered On My Knees do you think?

This contest is Hell! I've seen about 15 different songs I want to vote for so far :drama:

It worked first time round...... :(

Yeah, she did

Suga's improved 2nd time round (8th to 4th)

We'll just have to wait and see how RBW do. But 'cept BJSCX the strategy has worked wonders for me anyway ^_^

I must be able to pick the good artists/songs to recycle :kink:

<_<

Sorry. I listened to the album snippets but nothing sounded as good as the legendary WYRMT. :(

You can't go wrong with the Sugababes or Gabriella Cilmi tbh. ^_^ Though the Gabriella album had kinda worn off on me by the time you sent her the second time so I didn't give her anything that time. :( It's a great album but I've murdered SAM and it's had a knock-on effect on Gabriella herself.

I didn't think much of RBW the first time round, it seemed quite average to me. I know Colour Me Dirty wasn't the first song you were considering that time, is this the other one you were going to send before?

I rarely play SAM now so i don't kill it totally.

No, this is a newer discovery of theirs, well by me anyway. First time round it was Synthesiser i nearly sent coz it had a youtube vid and CMD didn't. I bottled it confirmed Gab's then discovered how to rip audio from myspace and the rest is history.

If i knew of YMYB at the time of BJSCVII i would have entered it. I  it soooooo much

SAM has been played to death for me aswell, i always considered Save The Lies, Got No Place To Go & Go To Bed Now as better though.

Save The Lies will be a good entry in a few years when it's been forgotten.

I have a little plan for Gab's she will be back in 2009, i'm still deciding which cover she'll be singing.

Possibly around April/May time

Ah now there's your mistake - I'll quite happily nothing on Ms Berger's album matches up to WYRMT but that does not mean the album is not packed with phenominal tracks ^_^

on the subject of artists being re-sent to the competition, I can't say I'm awfully fond of the idea. Esp. with artists such as Gabriella Cilmi where all her songs sound the same - they're all phenominal, but once you've heard one you've heard them all

They do sound quite similar.

and i chose the two that sounded most alike

I quite like Samantha on PSSF, WYRMT pisses over everything tho

Yeah, I've taken WYRMT off of the PSSF playlist on my iPod just so it can have one all on it's own. If you don't compare all of the songs though I think the album has a couple of gems, for me Have You Never Ever? is just amazing. Robot Song is thoroughly unique, I have to be in the right mood but when I am nothing comes close. Samantha is rock solid and I'm Gonna Stay After Summer too is a great track though they show their age a little more.

Robot song is quite amusing yet utterly fantastic

i personally can't wait for RBW's debut. After hearing the megamix they have some Electropop masterpieces.

I aim for Electropop to be Ashton's new route with the odd singer/songwriter retro-soul sounding songs in there. (Amy Mc/Gab C)

I've not heard the megamix but I'll certainly give the album a listen if it ever pops up.

Electropop it is for you then and everyone else in thsi competition
