Rivandia's non qualifying entry 'Until We Bleed' by Kleerup and Lykke Li gets the 40th place spot. Twas a lovely song that people just didn't 'get', though it was never destined to do well. Still, major loff. A recent entry at 39, Kate Miller-Heidke's song Words was one of the few songs in the contest that I had literally not even heard of before this contest. Tis very witty; Ben likes. The Yazoo sampling Colour Me Dirty comes in at 38, I first heard on Popjustice and then its entering in the contest made me love it even more. ;D Then comes the rather cheap So What, but even so, I love it. Great song, though it's starting to wear off now.

 

Up next are a winner, a runner up, and then two songs that placed back to back outside of the top 10 in their contest. ;o

OMFGG! Until We Bleed :heart: I would have given that one of the big 3 points :heart: I love it!

It's definitely completely by accident that all four of these are from BJSCVIII. That competition had a lot of good songs entered, and it's a shame that I wasn't around for it. ;o After this there are actually three more songs from BJSCVIII left as well! Dayum. Oh, and don't worry, some older songs are definitely soon to come. The first and second place songs from BJSCVII enter at 36th and 35th for me. Great songs. ;o Then above them are two songs that both missed the top 10, Skeleton Song and Meddle. :wub:

 

Up next is yet another song from BJSCVIII, a slutty song from BJSCII, and a 4th and a 11th place song. ;o

BJSC8 was brilliant IMO, but perhaps i am slightly biased since it was my first and the one where i've been most sucsessful in.

 

I doubt they'll be any Lorikeet entries in Ben's countdown though

More variety here. First we have the fabulous 'I Get Around' by Dragonette which should have finished MUCH higher than it did. Second song from Rivandia in this competition. Then we have two songs that did fairly well, Boyfriend by Alphabeat and They by Jem. Boyfriend is definitely a cheesy + guilty pleasure for me, one of Alphabeat's catchiest songs, and They is a classic pop hit, though Jem's other offerings have definitely disappointed. Last is one of my favorite songs from Santogold's debut album, and I was actually surprised that it got as high as it did. Lovely song.

 

Clues ;;

One of these songs is a small hit from the 90s. One is a song that was completely new to me before the contest, though a #2 hit in her home country. Finally we have a song that has divided many (though it isn't Headhunted), and another song that took 18th place. ;o
