Shall we take bets on who will say what tonight then?

1/2 Dermot to open the show with 'Your Saturday night starts HERE!'

7/2 Simon to tell a contesant 'Welcome back to the competition!'

9/2 Simon to exlaim 'THAT was WORLD-CLASS'

9/1 A nation to groan as Diana pretends to be soulful

Some absolutely messed up choices. Seriously... they have hundreds of songs to choose from and they come up with those?! Poor Bon Jovi choice for Ruth. I think she'll be in big danger tonight. And WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. I mean, I love the song, but an American classic? Maybe if you're 12 years old.

What odds do we get for Simon's knowing 'wink' to Orville? He does it all the time. Its as if to say ... Orville it doesn't matter if you're shoite! You've got it in the bag anyway - I should know - I own the show!

How about Louis to tell all the contestants...

"I will be shocked if you're not in the final" :heehee: (Or something like that )

OMG! Maybe this time Alex can get 'Listen' to chart, whereas when she performed it at the Judges House, it barely made the iTunes Top 120 :( 'Listen' is my fave Beyonce song

Diana should be good at REM though. I am really annoyed at the song choices for Britney they have chosen though (Bar Alexandra - Although 'Toxic' isn't best suited for her IMO)

Eoughan has one where it involves, more than one person on the chorus  - He's Won it tbh! -_- JLS are going to be in mega trouble tonight. WHY on Earth are they given a Whitney fukkin Houson song? The song choices this week seem to be pretty odd, and something is telling me they're not right. They just look, awful TBH!

1/20 odds on. :D

To be honest I don't know why I watch this car crash TV when I know what the outcome is going to be considering he is supposedly getting the most votes each week. :manson:

PS. Unfortunately, perfect song choices for him today, taking into account his fanbase. Diana's 2nd song is quite literally a $h!t or bust song choice. Irrespective of whether she survives tonight, if she nails Everybody Hurts she is right back in the running, if she blows it ... it is as good as over for her. Ruth's 2nd choice is a little too dull for me (Well Noel Gallagher did famously describe Bon Jovi as "The Westlife of Rock"); Alexandra should be safe with two great song choices; whilst Louis Walsh has yet again chosen to handicap JLS with two dreadful generic songs.

It is just a small matter who ends up 2nd to 5th place IMHO; behind Orville's 2008 coronation by multi voting tweenage girls & mums & grannies.

Orville couldn't sing his way out of a paper bag - his voice is weak as p***!

Do you think, if Orville wins, 2 $h!t XFactor winners in a row, will kill off the show?

If so - vote Orville!

I think Ruth and JSL bottom 2 tonight - but it'd be a travesty if Ruth goes - her and Alexandra are the only real singers left in this year's contest.
Chuffin Ell!!! Alexandra has excellent song choices!!!! and Am most lookin forward to Diana doing everybody hurts tho

Me too, i love both those songs that Diana is going to sing.

i was lucky the other night and i got all dianas and ruths x factor performances downloaded the other night so im thrilled to have them on cd

Anyway tonight's show - These are the songs that the remaining acts are due to perform bar any last minute changes:

Britney & American classic songs.

Diana - I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman & Everybody Hurts (REM)

JLS - Hit Me Baby One More Time & (tbc) No Air (Chris Brown/Jordin Sparks)

Ruth - I Love Rock and Roll & Always (Bon Jovi)

Alexandra - Toxic & (tbc) Crazy In Love (Beyonce)

Eoghan - Sometimes & We're All In This Together (High School Musical)

Thoughts?

I must say out all these choices, Ruth should walk it, but the public has no taste, so I bet Ruth will go tonight

Alexandra choice going for Toxic sounds car crash material it will end up as a copycat and Karoake

Diana, probably safe as houses

Eoghan, Probably safe as houses

JLS, hmmm.... probably bottom 2

and the public will vote the best off as usual RUTH

And what the feck Crazy In Love, No Air and We're All In This Together, american classics my blinking ASS

I was hoping for something like a Elvis Presley hit or No Doubt Don't Speak for Diana at least.

Who on earth chose this weeks song choices needs blinking shooting and castrated.

Current Betfair odds 2 Hours before the show:

8th Elimination:

Ruth Lorenzo 11/10 fav

JLS 12/5

Alexandra Burke 17/2

Diana Vickers - 10/1

Eoghan Quigg - 14/1

eoghan will get every kids vote if he does high school musical..

i love rock n roll is an abovious one for ruth but i dont think its a good song choice as the x factor viewers who ring in are a younger generation and it was one of britneys smallest hits,,,however bon jovi;s always is a classic and i think that is a far better choice

i said last week i could see jsl doing one mor etime in an acoutic way and alexandra is doing big songs in the way hard to sing so it will be interesting im disappointed no one is doing born to make you happy which is the only brutnet song i really like

The only Britney songs that suck more than Rock N Roll are 'Boys', 'Me Against The Music' and 'Break The Ice'.

Hope Ruth's performance is good though and it's not really even an original Britney song in essence.

I seriously cannot believe Eoughan is going to sing that HSM song

I shall definately be watching tonight for once just for the sheer hilarity of it and to see how on earth Britney can manage to sing 'Womanizer' live. It seems like such a difficult track... That's if she even shows up
