I think this week has actually been fantastic tbh, it's been a good build up! My predictions are for Rhys,Jono & Annalise to die. I would spoiler this but there's no need for me to spoiler anything that I have said.

The stunt was fantastic, and I gasped when Ste got hit by the mini-bus. Good job by Hollyoaks!

SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO DIDN'T WATCH E4 TONIGHT

That was OUTSTANDING. Even in an episode where we knew there were going to be deaths, Hollyoaks managed to pull absolute SHOCKERS one after the after. Those two minutes where Maddie first left Neil to die, only to be taken out herself by flying debris in a manner taken straight from Final Destination were proper SHIT-THE-BED moments. And although we all saw it coming, and he's been an absolute shit the past few months, the Rhys/Jacqui farewell was really rather touching. I still don't buy for a minute that he and Cindy were actually in love though.

I'm really not sure where on earth they're going to go with Bart and Esther now, we've got to be looking at something a lot more serious than playground teasing and bitchy comments. I'm assuming they'll be going on the run together.

I'm so sad that maddie has gone  I know she was a massive cow, especially towards esther, and how she left neil to die in the minibus but damn it she's TOO beautiful to die! I really liked neil too, so it's sad to see him out as well. :(

don't really give a shit about rhys though, not gunna lie.

I grew to hate Maddie SO much that I was actually willing her to stay in the car when the fire caught up with the car, but I gasped (then cheered ) when she got hit! She was such a vile bitch, especially her treatment of Esther and I properly groaned when she left Neil in the bus and it looked like she was safe.

Also quite sad for Rhys, second attractive Hollyoaks guy to die in recent months  The scenes were spectacular though, absolutely the best episode of a soap this year for me (Lynsey's death was more shocking but it wasn't the whole episode). Genuinely can't wait to see what happens later, Hollyoaks are very good at doing that following shocking episodes it seems - I find myself saying it a lot!

THAT WAS f***ING AMAZING!

Apparently there's still

another death tomorrow

and I can Esther

killing herself,

which has been rumoured. I loved how

Maddie Went this is all Esthers fault, then BOOM she's dead. I don't know how i feel about Maddie leaving she was FAB!

Loved Rhys's exit, he eventually realized how much he loved Jacqui! Next weeks episodes are going to be tragic especially with Rhys & Cindys affair coming out

Oh god I hadn't thought about Esther potentially killing herself, I would be absolutely gutted but it does seem plausible now, with everyone seemingly out of the woods bar Ste (and I can't see it being him because that would therefore be far too obvious) right? I thought that the bully storyline would progress into a suicide, I suppose Sinead will probably up the hate for Esther now, blaming her for Maddie's death.

I think that's why

Maddie's last words were blaming Esther. Apparently Bart leaves within the next three weeks, According to DS, Jono may die tomorrow (no idea how on earth that can happen. I'm thinking Nancy and Darren's son might die tomorrow

AMAZING.

Maddie's death HAS to be the most ridiculous death for anyone in a soap. HAI FINAL DESTINATION. It was incredible nonetheless. Although I'm a bit gutted she died over Jono or Sinead. And also that Maddie (despite being dead obviously) has got away with SO much. All the Esther stuff and leaving Neil in the bus. I wasn't too surprised at Neil being killed off or Rhys either.

I'm really hoping that Esther doesn't die. She's by far the strongest character of the teens.

Overall, it was incredibly Hollyoaks, so over-the-top but absolutely fantastic tv!

The one thing I will say is, why on earth didn't Maddie just take her foot off the accelerator when she found out the brakes weren't working?!

I take back all I said before, the crash episode and the subsequent episode were brilliant.

Death number 2 was tres hilare!!

Absolutely loved the E4 episode. It was incredible.

I cackled when Maddie died. Slightly disappointed at the sixth formers getting out of the exploding car though. Would've been happy to see the back of the lot. Not shocked by Rhys dying, it was obviously coming but that last scene with him and Jacqui was heartbreaking. Claire Cooper is an amazing actress, I'm thoroughly looking forward to seeing how they progress with her.

I need a gif of Maddie's death right now. Lee, where are you?!

AMAZING episode. One of the very best of the year which is no mean feat in the year of Lynsey's death, Mercy and Browning, Riley's death and the best Later yet. HO really ought to win everything at the soap awards, nothing else this year has been able to touch it.

Rhys' last moments with Jacqui were touching but ultimately he got what he deserved. In a way I think it's a shame Jacqui will have to find out about the affair.

What a FANTASTIC few episodes these have been. How did

--Jono--

even die though?

it was probably

down to internal bleeding. it is odd though, because he didn't appear to be in much pain for the episode.

Somebody out there has wasted NO time. AMAZING

What an utterly hilarious week. Between Doug's over-acting, Maddie's instant KARMA, Neil being completely forgotten about by all within 5 seconds of snuffing it, and the revelation that Cindy apparently has a daughter who is older than she herself is (BRILLIANT casting there), this week was a HOOT.

As far as the axings went, they were all pretty much the right ones and a sign that Kirkwood knows what he's doing. I guess the writing for Maddie could be seen as inconsistent, given only months before we saw her willingly run back into a burning building to save Tilly, but as it provided such great TV I'm sure people will forgive Kirkwood for that.

And heroic as Jono may have been this week, there is unfortunately no getting around the fact that the poor lad who plays him was very much the weak link in the cast, and his DEATH FACE was the most emotive he's ever managed to be. The instant he lay down in Ruby's lap, it was all over.

Claire Cooper was definitely the powerhouse this week, genuinely brilliant, but kudos also to Andrew Moss and Stephanie Waring who were at the top of their game. And although it's not the done thing to praise the teens, I also thought Stephanie Davies was pretty convincing in the immediate aftermath, horrid as Sinead usually is as a character.

I'm really not buying that everyone bar George is seemingly happy to just accept Bart and Esther back in their lives. Surely nobody believes that they didn't know about the crash, they were right there?! And unfortunately although I think we're supposed to see Esther as a victim, I'm not sure just WHY she got back in that car with Bart in the first place. If some anger is directed her way it would be rather justified. Bart to DIE please, whilst a mass order is being placed for coffins.

Utterly fantastic couple of episodes. Really brilliant TV. Claire Cooper was amazing but that wasn't that much of a shock as she is always flawless. Stephanie Waring was great as Cindy but I was more surprised at how good Stephanie Davies was as Sinead. I liked her character before they turned into a mega bitch and I'm hoping now, what with her current storyline, she mellows down abit and becomes the girl she once was.

Maddie's death was AMAZING. I actually cheered when the flying debris hit her! So UNEXPECTED and so FINAL DESTINATION. But Callum was right- Karma will get her in the end. She started as a bitch and died a bigger bitch when she left Poor!Neil die. I'm just gutted that most of the teens will think Maddie died a hero because she saved George!

Jono's death was well done. I kinda expected it, especially when he laid down on Ruby's lap but I really grew to like his character in the past couple of weeks. It's a shame really.

As for Esther Shoat, I really don't think she has got away with anything. The bullying IS going to continue, apparently it's going to run until Mid-January. Obviously Sinead and Ruby will take Maddie's place as Queen Bitch and will torment Esther. I can easily see other character's blaming Esther and Bart aswell. And Bart is apparently going to be sent to prison!

But the episode's have been great. And I'm enjoying Hollyoaks far more at the minute then I'm enjoying any other soap. No soap does stunts quite like Hollyoaks!

I really appreciated that the final shot of Wednesday's episode after the bus crashed was just a silent shot of the debris. On the other soaps the stunts are usually a bit messy on screen. Hollyoaks make them a bit arty.

Edited by Jark

Hollyoaks always excel when it comes to stunts and deaths, and although they don't try to play it as "real" as the other soaps, that in itself means they can put a show on and be a lot more arty as Jark says. This week has just been another example of how when it gets it right, Hollyoaks can easily outshine the Big Three soaps. Their only problem has only ever been consistency; they have these big episodes and huge storyline climaxes, but then often seem to take months to recover from the comedown. I'm hoping that won't happen this time.

Episode of the year much? I grew to quite like Jono over the last month or two. Wooden actor yes but he was a good person at heart. Beautifully tragic exit for him.
