December 2, 200816 yr Author Loose Lingerie Tuesday Highlights http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u11/gooddelta/looselogo.jpg The ladies were back today for their second show of the week, with three very special performances. Maria and Mira started the show with a 10 minute slot called 'Mira's VAT deals' where Mira showed the audience what the good deals she managed to get yesterday afternoon when she went shopping in Constarvan. She said 'it's great Maria, I managed to get your Christmas presents anyway' whilst walking out of La Senza. 'The credit crunch is obviously effecting everyone across the world and indeed in FSR Rontvia, our budget retailer Poundland is now 97p land after the VAT cut which is great but left me with a lot of odd change when I went to get some bits!'. 'And guess what Maria, your album, Hold On Be Strong, is now selling for as little as £6 in some branches of Ront-Save, I got three copies!'. The girls first guest this afternoon was former American Idol contestant and Allecian BJSC entrant, Kellie Pickler with a beautiful rendition of I Wonder. Kellie joined the girls for a short chat, Maria said 'I Wonder is a beautiful song, is it your favourite to perform' with Kellie answering 'I love all of my songs, do y'all love them too? I wonder is really special to me, I really hope it does well in the BJSC'. Mira presented Kellie with a new pair of shoes as a gift for performing to which Kellie was ecstatic, 'they're beautiful, I'll cherish them for the duration of my time in Rontvia, it's a stunning country'! Allecian - Kellie Pickler - I Wonder b1XdZtYG1ms next up was a very special guest, FSR Rontvia's BJSCIX entrant Sanna Nielsen, who came fourth in the contest with the Eurovision inspired Nobody Without You. She performed a very special cover of Mariah Carey's timless Christmas classic All I Want For Christmas Is You. She joined fellow former Rontvian BJSC stars Maria & Mira for a quick chat, where they shared their experiences of their respective BJSC's and of course the Best Of, where Sanna did considerably worse than the hosts. 'It was a real shame to come so low in the best of but there was some great competition and the best songs came in the top five! I was just so shocked and happy to finish inside the top 30 of all time, it's such an honour' said Sanna. When asked why she had recorded some Christmas songs with fellow Swedes Shirley Clamp and Sonja Alden, Sanna replied 'who doesn't love xmas, and Mariah's song is one of my favourites, I just had to do a better cover than Samantha Mumba's and I think I've achieved that!'. EXCLUSIVE - Sanna Nielsen - All I Want For Christmas Is You CsP5X9knk24 Maria and Mira then had their daily look at the world's news, Maria becoming furious at the potential closure of Woolworths, Rontvia's second biggest shop. 'I'm really not happy, it's where I get all of my Pick 'N' Mix, although I used to prefer when it was in cups rather than bags'. Mira also shared her memories of the legendary retailer 'Woolies is down every street in Rontvia, I can't imagine life without it. I was once Headhunted by a Woolies manager who wanted to give me a managerial role but I said unfortunately I was too busy at the time...lucky I didn't take the job really, I wouldn't want my livelihood on the line!'. The final performance of the day was the long awaited and anticipated return of Rontvian favourites, Ashton's Red Blooded Women. Their song Colour Me Dirty reached No.3 on the Rontvian Charts selling 567,112 copies so far, whilst the download only release, Colour Me Pjanoo, peaked at No.7 selling 221,457 copies so far, impressive for what is essentially the same song. New single and Ashton's BJSCXII entry, You Made Your Bed, had a rapturous applause from the crowd, many of whom had queued all night to get in to see the girls, who were rumoured to be giving autographs after the show. The girls were happy to be on Loose Lingerie for the first time and Mira asked them some cheeky questions in a round of 'you made your bed now you lie in it'. Mira asked 'who would you most like to find in your bed in the morning' to which Candy replied 'probably Vincent, I hope he's not gay!'. Maria asked Liz what she would find under her bed, to which Liz replied 'I still have some dirty colouring books from our last promotional campaign! I haven't coloured in since I was 10 but I really enjoyed that one! Our next single should be called Join the Dots, just so we can have promotional dirty dot joining puzzles!.' December 3, 200816 yr Author Loose Lingerie Wednesday Highlights Maria and Mira were joined in the studio today by three more very special guests, the first to pop in were Feeder from Juranabaijan who sang their BJSCXII entry, Sweet 16. The band joined the hosts for a brief chat after the performance. Mira said 'rock doesn't usually do well in the BJSC, and male acts certainly don't, do you feel like everything is against you'. Grant, the singer of the band said 'not at all, I believe that this contest is in a process of diversifying, with many new countries joining and really original song choices being made, a male act could even win this time around and I'd love it to be us!'. Maria said 'you're perhaps best known for anthemic songs like Buck Rogers and Just A Day, do you feel that Sweet 16 appeals to the same audience?'. 'It undoubtedly does' replied Grant 'it's a powerful rock anthem like those that we are best known for with a great melody and fantastic backing vocals, I think we are in with a good chance of qualifying!' Juranabaijan - Feeder - Sweet 16 EQdYX3eykrs The hosts and the audience were up on their feet for their second guest, Dalisska's Elizabeth & The Catapult. Maria introducted them as 'Sara Bareilles goes jazz' and the crowd went wild. After an incredible performance, the band joined Maria & Mira for a game of 'devil or saint'. Mira asked them a series of questions to which the band members had to answer quite simply 'devil' or 'saint'. 'Amy Winehouse' - 'devil', 'Simon Cowell' - 'devil', 'Barack Obama' - saint, 'Colbie Caillat' - 'saint' were the answers given to an easily amused crowd. Before the band disappeared, Mira had a question for them 'do you think that you can finally reverse Dalisska's bad luck in the BJSC? Your country continues to send stunning songs time and time again, many of which have gone top 5 in FSR Rontvia, but few other people seem to realise your brilliance...' The reply given was 'I really believe that with our help, Dalisska can qualify this time, I know we're biased but we believe that this is the best Dalisskan entry to date and is completely different to anything else in the contest!' Dalisska - Elizabeth & The Catapult - Devil's Calling sXY0nd0Clkg Maria & Mira's final guest today was another Rontvian star. Untouched, who came 5th in BJSCVI and 17th in the Best Of BJSC with the infamous Smack Me, visited the studio for an exclusive jazz tinged performance of that song in honour of the jazz-pop entry from Dalisska, and to celebrate the release of their debut album, 'Dirty Freak', which was released on Monday and looks certain to be a big xmas seller, sitting at No.2 in the midweeks behind Maria and Mira's own album 'Sing The Hits' which has been No.1 for the past month. Fiona, the lead singer of the band, joined the hosts for a chat after the performance. Fiona said 'I'm really excited that the album's doing so well, we've done a cover of Serebro's Opium on the album which might be the next single in Rontvia. It took us about six months to record but we've been writing the songs all year, we are also planning a release in Kopecka, Ashton and Sangria and will be touring these three countries in due course'. When asked about the Best Of, Fiona said 'obviously we weren't expecting to even make the final 30, by rights we should have been in the 46th-50th position due to our 5th place finish in one of ten contests...so to finish 17th, and above the winner original winner of that contest, was a great honour, and thanks to everyone who voted for us!' December 4, 200816 yr Author Loose Lingerie Thursday Update Today's show was cancelled due to a huge snowstorm in FSR Rontvia which meant that neither Maria or Mira or any of their guests could reach the studio due to the treacherous conditions from the sudden storm that only started at 11.30 this morning, an hour before the show was due to go out. The Rontvian TV Network (RTVN) issued this statement 'obviously we are disappointed that this has happened as Loose Lingerie is our biggest show, attracting millions of viewers across the Buzzjack World. We will make up for this by running the show from 12.30-2.00 tomorrow. We would make it go on longer but we don't want it to clash with the increasingly popular Ashtonise show, Afternoon Avec Amelle'. RTVN filled the hour long gap on the country's main channel by playing a show called 'BJSC battle: FSR Rontvia vs. Ashton which showed an hour of past entries from the two countries. This series is frequently shown on sister channel 'RTVN Hits: Music. Is. Life', others in the series including 'Kopecka vs. Mdice', 'USR vs. Faztickle', 'Utopia vs. Rivandia' and 'Kylienips vs. Eledan'. Weather reports have suggested that the snow is likely to turn into mild rain showers later in the day when it is due to warm up considerably and tomorrow will be sunny with a minium temperature of 8 degrees, meaning that Maria & Mira are certain to be back for their hour and a half show tomorrow!
December 6, 200816 yr Author Loose Lingerie is back on Monday...the snowstorm went on longer than anticipated and affected the power in Rontvia on Friday and into Saturday morning...next week's guests include LCD Soundsystem, Jesse Malakouti, Paddy Kelly, Wondergirls and Gavin Mikhail. If your act hasn't yet been on and isn't listed above, be sure to sign them up by announcing your interest in this thread!
December 7, 200816 yr Author Very important notice regarding Loose Lingerie's future After much deliberating amid the credit crunch, freak weather and rapidly falling interest in FSR Rontvia, Loose Lingerie has been cancelled as Maria and Mira expressed no further interest to continue hosting the show. The lead singer of Thermostatic offered to host the show bu this was met with a muted response from both fans and heads of RTVN. Few of the remaining scheduled acts due to have performed will be affected by this cancellation - only one of the five acts that was due to appear this week actually made the final. Maria and Mira issued this joint statement: 'we have had a great run, and we are glad that it had such brilliant viewing figures across the Buzzjack World. We are sorry that it has had to end but we have decided that it is not worth continuing. We are very pleased to have inspired a number of other daytime shows such as Afternoon Avec Amelle and The Heidke Report and we hope that they will continue to support the artists in our void'. It has been announced that the 12.30-1.30 lunchtime slot in FSR Rontvia will be filled with a new quiz show due to start soon called 'Jackpot Sanna' hosted by Sanna Nielsen and Charlotte Perrelli.
