Posted December 1, 200816 yr Does anybody know how much each of the albums released have sold? I'm interested to compare all the albums released from the show. Has Leon outsold Rhydian or vice versa?
December 1, 200816 yr I actually worked this out last week for some one, Leon's total sales was roughly under 60k as of last week, so say 59k. This week #63 album (ABBA), sells at 9,392. Leon is at #61 this week, so he must have sold roughly around 10k, add that to the above total, should be just under 70k. Leona has passed 2 million Shayne Ward I don't have a clue Steve Brookstein not a lot
December 2, 200816 yr steve brook-watever sold about 250k of his first album i think, and about 400 of his second.. shayne sold a fair amount of his self titled debut, about 600,000, and about 450,000 copies in the uk of breathless leona has sold around 2.2million copies in the uk of spirit.. 170,000 in the last two weeks :) leon has sold about 70k i think, he will probably sell about 120,000 in the end :S G4 have sold about 800,000 copies of their debut, with their second album selling about 350,000, their final album sold much less i think. id imagine same diffrence will sell about 500,000 copies of their album if the kids take to it like expected. id say leona will easily score 2.5million + she sold 85,000 copies this week
December 2, 200816 yr Here is a list on wiki of all x factor contestant albums. It appears to be accurate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_X_Factor_(UK)#Albums

December 2, 200816 yr It had huge sales at the end of 2007 - rode the top 10 wave perfectly for those 4 weeks in December.
December 2, 200816 yr Author 70k for Leon? Thats appauling. I wouldnt be surprised if he is dropped unless his sales pick up. Ray Quinn got dropped and he sold alot more than that.

December 2, 200816 yr . Here is a list on wiki of all x factor contestant albums. It appears to be accurate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_X_Factor_(UK)#Albums . Top first week album sales for x factor Leona Lewis: ......375,872 G4: ....................244,671 Journey South: ....216,843 Shayne Ward: .....201,266 Andy Abraham: ...176,689 Ray Quinn: ..........126,985 Rhydian.............. 90,138 Ben Mills: .............63,500 Steve Brookstein: 50,989 Leon Jackson: ....37,197 Source, spiidey :) , I've added Rhydians figures. Looking at those sales, if Ray Quinn got dropped after his first album, then they've probably already decided to drop Leon
December 2, 200816 yr I think only Alex or Diana will sell albums. Diana is erratic live though, her last few performances have not been good, she started well, but I think the pressure is getting to her. Alex seems to have gathered a head of steam and has given consistently good performances. I suspect Eoghan will win though and be another Steve or Leon album wise. He seems a nice guy, but I cant see him having great commercial success.
December 2, 200816 yr omg....leon is getting DROPPED! hahahaa Not for a while it's not good PR for the programme. He's got another single coming out so that might increase sales. When you look at previous winners Steve left by agreement he said (whether true or not) because he didn't want to record another covers album. Shayne they've simply not bothered to release further singles despite his 2 albums selling a total of around 1 million. He's meant to have another album next year, but I'm not sure that will ever happen.
