December 13, 200816 yr Eoghan: Flat and just unbearable. 2/10 JLS: The best choice for them really but it's just stupid that this is what they're singing. What they should be doing is stuff like Justin, Timbaland and the like. 7/10 Alex: Not as good as her first 2 but still a lot better than JLS and Eoghan, Alex FTW! 9/10
December 13, 200816 yr Alexandra and Beyoncé were amazing. EASILY the best vocal tonight came from Alexandra. Eoghan is just awful.
December 13, 200816 yr is there any better way to turn off voters than having your acts sing with 2 of the most universally despised acts in the history of music? Yes, Pestlife and Boyzzzzzone scuppered any chances JLS and Orville had of winning. The Boeyonce duet with Alexandra was phenomenal...as was her Silent Night. It's a contest that's just not even worth discussing - you've an act who's world class - and another 2 acts who are prize asses.
December 13, 200816 yr It really didn't bother me that Alex got a bit overwhelmed during Listen. It shows she's human. And as far as I can tell she didn't miss any queues and carried on singing quite professionally. I thought it was great
December 13, 200816 yr Oh but come on. Alex has just started out and well Beyoncé is...Beyoncé. A more fair comparison would be to to a 19 year old Beyoncé who I'd say Alex is pretty similar to. Whether the X-Factor hinders Alex in the long term or not remains to be seen. There's no reason why she couldn't be where Beyoncé is in 5 years time. Whether she gets the necessary artistic control to achieve that though remains to be seen. Beyonce had already had 4 US #1 hit singles & 2 UK #1 hit singles with Destiny's Child which she co-wrote before the time she turned 20. The very fact I gave the performance 10 out of 10 & have voted for Alexandra after saying all week I was going to do a spoiler vote for Eggnog speaks volumes of how sensational she has been tonight due to her near perfect singing and not going into oversinging/shouty mode like she has done on occasions in the past. Good grief imagine if I'd given the performance 6 out of 10.

I've hardly been Alexandra's biggest fan from the get go, but she has always said that Beyonce was her idol. So to perform with her on the biggest night of her life.... what do you expect. I thought it really endearing and showed warmth & humanity & it brought it out of Beyonce whom has been criticised by music critics in the past for lacking those two same things.

If I was on the stage with my idol performing one of my idol's songs, I'm sure I'd get carried away too.
December 13, 200816 yr also got the impression from Alex's initial reaction that she didnt have time to meet/ practise with Beyonce. JLS have a huge following, should be close between them and Alex.
December 13, 200816 yr I feel like Alexandra is gonna be 3rd. I just don't have confidence in her chances even though she's obviously the best.
December 13, 200816 yr i have the same feeling that she wont win actually even though she is the best
December 13, 200816 yr After the Xmas Songs & the Duets: The X-Factor Winner: Betfair.com Odds: Alexandra Burke 8/11 odds on JLS 2/1 Eoghan Quigg 8/1 Incredibly Alexandra's odds have continued to slightly lengthen. JLS continue to close the gap; whilst Eoghan is beginning to look like a hopeless case. But remember this time last year Rhydian was 1/6 on Fav to win & Leon Jackson's odds drifted out to 8/1 3rd fav during the Final show..... Latest odds 21:10 Hrs: The X-Factor Winner: Betfair.com Odds: Alexandra Burke 1/2 odds on JLS 13/5 Eoghan Quigg 11/1
December 13, 200816 yr Author I hope Ughan gets the boot first, and Kimberley looks hot tonight on the Girls Aloud party
December 13, 200816 yr I hope Ughan gets the boot first, and Kimberley looks hot tonight on the Girls Aloud party  Am I the only one that thinks Kimberley can't really sing? :kink:
December 13, 200816 yr I hope Eoghan Quigg wins because he teeth are so yellow and it looks like the sun is shinning
