LOL...

OMG at Hear'say! I can't believe there that High!

:o

Where are Spice and Spiceworld? I believed their sales were huge on the first week of both.

Spiceworld did 192k in its 1st week. Still fastest selling for a female band ever i believe. Spice actually did less, but sold consistently for weeks, was in the top5 for like 6 months or something.

Some 1-week sales are higher than 1st week sales also. Take That's Beautiful world sold 443k i think on Xmas week 2006 for example, and sure Spice sold amazingly this week too.

Also Oasis Dig Out Your Soul must have just missed the top50- 200k in week 1

Wow, Robbie sold that much in 1 week of Intensive Care only 3 years ago, you wonder why he's totally off the radar now.

He's on a slowdown- contracted to EMI still but unhappy so working as slow as possible. This is why he's been so quiet of late. Doesn't need the money though does he? :lol:

Well of course he has released one album since then of course but he quite rightly DARED not to do the same old MOR stuff (just look at Take That to see how successful doing that does) so that and the bad choice of first single resulted him in not selling as much. He has nothing to lose now so I just hope he doesn't go back down that road too much for his comeback album but I have a feeling he will.

I know :lol: There are so many reality TV 'stars' in the Top 50! Just pleased the Top 3 remains free of them though -_-

That plus he's waiting for the right song-writer to come along for him. :lol:

That plus he's waiting for the right song-writer to come along for him. :lol: Failing that I'm sure he'll thrill us all with another swing album.

off the top of my head stop the clocks by oasis made no2, not 1... hope that helps. will look more later
Did any of those albums in the top 50 either...

A) Not make #1

or B ) Not manage to sell a million copies + in total?

Prettu sure Journey South haven't sold a million. I'm very sure that Favourite Worst Nightmare and Stadium Arcadium haven't either yet.. and By Only The Night (although that will surely hit a million very soon!).

And here is the rest of the Biggest 1st Weeks Sales List:,

51. Shayne Ward - Shayne Ward - 201,266 (2006)

52. Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul - 200,866 (2008)

53. U2 - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - 200,863 (2004)

54. The Killers - Day & Age - 200,299 (2008)

55. Mariah Carey - Music Box - 200,675 (1993)

56.=U2 - Zooropa - 200,000 (1993)

56.=REM - Monster - 200,000 (1994)

'But Seriously' by Phil Collins, should be in the Top 50 too - quite high

I'd say. When it entered at No.1, (W/E 2nd December 1989), it was said

to be the UK's 'Fastest Selling Album', to date. However, it is not in the List,

as no-one seems to remember its 1st Week's Sales.....I'm sure that Alan Jones,

of 'Music Week', must know! He will have it in his collection of UK Chart Data.

Wow!!! You are right!!! I make that 40 consecutive weeks in the top 5 :o More than 9 months :o :o :o

I had no idea Boyzone's By Request sold so many in week one in 1999 :o the second fastest selling 'hits' album ever, no wonder the new one hasn't sold so well!

nearly all of Oasis albums in that list !!!!

great... it makes me so proud to see "be here now" #1 with 696,000 (even though it was released on a thursday!) those are only 3days of sales.
