The only albums I've heard so far are Sara Bareilles and Santogold, both would be in my top 10. Mariah is blates in my top 5 though.

Kicking off the Top 20 is Lady Gaga... Ooops I mean Christina Aguilera, who released her Greatest Hits this year, and it was TOTALLY the wrong time to release it. Especially seeing as it was off the back of a download-only single, which the video had come out just a few days before Download release. Which was a massive mistake and made this Greatest hits an undeserved flop. The tracks are brilliant. I am so happy they included 'The Voice Within' Especially.

19: The Ting Tings - We Started Nothing

Next up we have a duo who you will either "Love" or "Hate". Their album was awful the very first time I heard it and I was debating whether to give it another chance or not, as I thought it was so bad. But then after the 2nd listen it started to grow and grow on me. The re-listening to the album paid off as it is in my Top 20 albums of 2008, and it only peaked at number 9 in my chart.

You will have to wait and see :P But it's more a case of what I think are the weakest tracks :lol: I actually like them, but compared to the rest of the album, they do nothing for me. :lol:

18: Ladyhawke - Ladyhawke

In at 18, is an artist who like Santogold, deserved much more chart wise. But as the year is closing in, she seems to be getting more and more successful, as her peaks in the charts have gradually picked up and she is looking set to go Top 40 this weekend with her 3rd single. However, even though she hasn't been very successful, chart wise, it has been a really wonderful year for her, and I predict her to actually be big in 2009!

Ting Tings album is terrible :cry: I only like the singles...

 

Ladyhawke's is better...Manipulating Woman I actually like :lol:

Poor Xtina, everything about the GH was handled awfully. Dont have the Ladyhawke album and was very dissapointed by The Ting Tings album, though i havent really listened to it all that much tbh.

Well at number 17 is a Girl Group who, had you told me this time last year, they'd do a better album than The Sugababes this year, I probably would have laughed you off the face of this earth! But wallah, here comes The sats, who have produced a mighty fine Pop album. When I first heard this album, I actually said it was better than the Sugababes and Girls Alouds efforts, however Girls Alouds album grew on me leaps and bounds (Yes it's still to come) and I actually haven't listened to this album much recently. (Hence it's low placing) But I have just ordered my Physical copy so I will be listening to it over Chrimbo :dance:

In at Number 16, we have the biggest selling album of the year so far, and it looks very likely that she will keep that reign too. The album was a very pleasent surprise to me. I hated 'Mercy' when I first heard it, but that grew on me, and I have loved everything else since. 'Warwick Avenue' was the perfect 2nd/3rd single choice. The album is very 60's souls but it just works. But quite a few people were disappointed by the looks of things :(

15: P!nk - Funhouse

At number 15 is P!nk. With her brilliant album 'Funhouse'. It is definately my favourite P!nk album now, surpassing 'I'm Not Dead', it is moody, happy, serious, not serious, Sad all rolled into one. 'So What' is an incredible song and was rightfully a massive number 1 hit. Her next single 'Sober' is a great 2nd choice of single. :wub: I think it's definately a highlight on the album. However, just like all albums it does have it's flaws. But I seem to dislike the track that P!nk fans just seem to love :lol:

14: Jordin Sparks - Jordin Sparks

Jordin Sparks debut album, settles in at number 14. I am so happy she got given a chance and 'No Air' became the huge hit it was. Also sorta happy she managed to get 'Tattoo' to become a mild Top 30 hit after it missed the Top 40, not long before 'No Air' was released. i do think she is making a mistake by releasing 'One Step at a Time' over here though :unsure: She should stop now and comeback with a more polished album, or should at least release 'Freeze'.

13: Katy Perry - One Of The Boys

Now we have Katy Perry at 13. This album seems to be very mixed with people. I personally think it's great and has some decent tracks on there. But I can see why some people think 'I Kissed a Girl' and 'Hot 'N' Cold' are/were the only songs on there to have huge commercial success. This album has been compared to Avril and P!nk's albums, I can see where they're coming from, but I don't think that's a bad thing at all as I like both Avril and P!nk.

As you could have guessed, I am charting Re-Issues of old albums, If I like them enough. Here is one of the most successful Re-Releases possibly, EVER! I really don't know how this girl does it. She has just recieved her SEVENth Top 20 Hit from this very album! and after all the christmas songs start to drop off, I'm pretty sure she is set to go Top 10. She Re-Released this album and added 2 tracks that are definately in my Top 3 of Rihanna songs!

11: Gabriella Cilmi - Lessons to be Learned

Just missing out on a top 10 placing is Ms Cilmi. This album is a very, very good debut album. It's classic Xenomania. 'Sweet About Me' is the hit that never went away, and got overplayed to death! Which seems to be why 'Save the Lies' & 'Sanctuary' flopped. But she seems to be getting success this time round with her winter single, 'Warm this Winter' which (Isn't on the version I have got) but guess what... It's used in an advert! Bless her, it seems she can't get a hit without their being an advert! Maybe she should have released an advert to me, and maybe that would have got her into the Top 10, in this chart!
