If you so wished, yes :P The point is is that the current rule limits people from sending stuff that most people on here realistically won't have heard, given that the Swedish, British and Irish NFs are the only ones that generate any attention here ;p

OH AND OPINIONS ON SIOBHAN DONAGHY THX.

Don't Give it Up:

Ghosts:

Medevac:

Thnx if anyone takes the time etc.

Well, seeing as the original rule was only intended to deal with those few NFs, I felt it was appropriate to propose that we change the letter of the rule to reflect the spirit of it :P

But right now we can't send anything even slightly MF related? But if this rule goes through we can send something like...Brandu - Lullaby as it went out at the semi of MF last year?

I just think BJSC and Eurovision should be kept completely apart.

Surely, all countries should be included in that? Well imo they should be.. just seems a bit silly doing it for three countries and not the rest.

All or nothing i say :o

Well, it could be done, but the rule was originally intended to stop the manipulation by the entering of songs from these - I don't see why it would have to be all or nothing when we're just allowing the stuff that most people won't take any notice of to be entered

Medevac, no.

I love love love Ghosts, but am unsure of how hard it would flop.

Don't Give It Up is imo the best of the bunch. So You Say is rather lush as well.

No.

You can send a song once, regardless of who sang it.

So if i sent The Sugababes version of Spiralling, then the original couldn't be sent

I know you haven't said you actually are but please don't imo its awful :puke2: . Nice harmonies but it takes everything that is good from the original.

maybe even a foreign title puts some people off

so would T.I's Swagga Like Us be an acceptable entry then, bearing in mind Paper Planes participation?

Obviously i'm not one to say whether you can but it would be a disgrace to the contest if it got sent :P :puke2:

:kink: I will look to the Russian NF and send something from there then :o I'm planning to collect every ESC NF songs 'til May
If I can throw in my two pence worth - I also think you can't only ban entries from Britain, Ireland and Sweden's eurovision copetitions, this is after all an international forum and we do have people from outside the UK enterring so why should they be able to enter songs from their countries when we can't? Personally, I'd just scrap the rule altogether after all most of the songs that failed to reach the Eurovision final wouldn't stand a chance in this compeition anyways

The Early Mid Afternoon Not A Repeat Show

Today on Inner Massivia's biggest TV show, The Early Mid Afternoon Not A Repeat Show, the country's BJSC XIII entrant Melanie Fiona was the featured guest. She spoke to host Teddy Blizzard about her upbringing, musical influences, her new single "Give It To Me Right" and debut album "The Bridge". She also performed a few snippets of tracks from the album.

The Early Mid Afternoon Not A Repeat Show is broadcast on Massivia TV each day from 1pm to 2pm and is hosted by showbusiness legend Teddy Blizzard. It is the highest rated show in Inner Massivia with an audience reach of 63.2%. Any syndication or advertising enquiries should be directed to the Ministry of Popular Music Culture. Guest slots are available each day for musicians, with entrants to the BJSC having an open invitation onto the show.

We all know that nothing actually good is used in the UK NF.

'Not Just Anybody' was immense though.

Jordan's outfit made it even better tbh.

Other than that I agree.

Opinionz please.

The difference is that the vast majority of people on this forum don't pay attention, to, say, the Bosnian NF, whereas the British NF actually attracts attention :P

And I wouldn't be too presumptuous about stuff that doesn't get into the Eurovision final...granted, this song isn't allowed, but it demonstrates that stuff that doesn't get through could very easily do well in this competition:

Pfft, it's a well good song. Just because it's rap you're hating on it. :smoke:

Back to the rule change thing, I think we should just keep it how it's always been. Nothing that's even slightly related to Eurovision. I know the contest is no longer that closely related to Eurovision but I think they should still be banned,

Eurovisionist :kink:

I know. I hardly have time for actual Eurovision songs once the contest is over, let alone rejects. :smoke:

Yeah, but sometimes the rejects were so unjustly rejected :(

No as that was a British National Final song.

I don't really like the idea of this change. It should be all or none and I'd rather it was none. This rule change is only an excuse to send more MF rejects and yeah, we don't need those thanks. No need to complicate things.

yes we do, Sanna, Andreas Johnson and Sibel for the win :cheer:

Melodifestivalen is as good as ESC these days
