except their tastes are far more alternative than here, so the songs that are seen as 'risks' here would all go down very well there, and pop songs are unlikely to do well, as there are very few pure pop fans on there

but their contest is nothing like BJSC, for a start it's only once every 6 months or so, and we don't have 'countries' we just send songs, but don't say who sent them, so there's no 'voting for members you like' favouritism

With the exception of the Eurovision thing we done earlier in the year  By the time it came to voting...no one knew who was designated which country anyway

I don't think my entries to BJSC particularly represent my tastes :/ It's just my absoloute favourites seem to be the alternative indie rock thingmabob that Feeder and -to some extent- what Ash do  That's why i'm planning on sending the amazing Lose Control

I wouldn't say there's much of that here aside from Tapatilandia-Eledan and Camtoro-Leonville

Oh! I think I remember seeing your post on some other forum and you were telling people how a song did in Buzzjack and they were saying they were shocked how bad it did (or something like that).

This is it right?: (Ok it won't let me link to it )

I'm pretty sure I'm looking at the right place though as a "Gooddelta" has just replied to a topic about Latvia leaving eurovision....

I wouldn't agree with that. Just we don't notice it.

At least we (Eledan & Tapatilandia) will have a history in BJSC like countries 'voting for members they like'...

I think outsiders might see Rontvia-Kopecka/Ashton, Kopecka-Mdice, BaNG-Mdice etc...as some, but I think this is more down to very similar music tastes as opposed to actually voting for the member behind the coutnry

Tapitalandia-Eledan has become quite one-way recently, with Eledan not giving as many points back as they receive :o

I would never give points to an awful song just because it was sent by a poster I like

maybe Miss Blue  I commented on somebody's personal chart on chc who loved the song, and I mean, bought the album because they heard it via my chart loved, and was saying that I was disappointed that it had flopped

That's because Tapatilandia never qualify anymore! :P

No it was a while back......I'd say it was around when Buzzjack 9-10 was happening.

If Tapatilandia were in the final i would be happy to vote for them  Especially that i always love the songs they sent  I learn Spanish and i adore the language and they send songs in spanish most of the time if you all haven't noticed.

I dont think its right to give a song you dont like 12 points. Its not supposed to be a popularity contest, and the majority of people participating (basically all) do vote for their favourite song not the artist, from what I've seen. I just think its a bit..well..silly.

Driving then probably, someone on chc actually sent the song to me, and this is how I discovered it

Rosa Pastel was a stunning song from Tapitalandia

more of those please Mayte :o

Rosa Pastel  I think i gave that 10, should have been my 12. Another great Tapatilandia entry was Soar  which should have done so much better than it did.

Camtoro-Leonville was the only completely obvious one, but they were the same person and it was all a big lie, which went unnoticed by everyone for a shocking amount of time :heehee:

I've lost count of how many times Tapatilandia have given top marks to Eledan but it's an incredible coincidence that Mayte likes Pavel's song the most out of 28 odd, every single contest :P

it got my 10 or 12, I can't remember...but it's a fantastic pop song which arguably would have done better in English, and did very well to come top ten

Since theres quite a few people here I thought I'd ask what people thought of this song:

They're Swedish and they were in Melodifestivalen(then again it would probaby be pretty hard to find a swedish artist that wasn't :P), they're called Pay TV and the song is called "Fashion Report"

I really like it, it's very different. ^_^

C-L was obvious from the beginning, I just never bothered pointing it out as it was so obvious neither country would ever do well! :P

Had I been a GM at the time, I would have noticed that the I.P. addresses were the same...

The two countries were home to some of the worst ever BJSC entries though, the Spanish Westlife song being my favourite :heehee:
