:o :w00t: The Sats & GA A-List whilst Sugababes B-List? :o

and Saturdays! :D

hope P!nk goes A-list!

How comes lily allen didnt move up and GA did?

Do we think this will be the last change of playlist until Jan now?

:o :w00t: The Sats & GA A-List whilst Sugababes B-List? :o

There is some justification in this world.

Not really. :heehee: No Can Do is the best of the 3 (though I love all of them now, even TLK thanks to the radio edit).

Really hope Lily makes the A-list...

Because GA were already on the B-list for 2 weeks whilst Lily Allen only climbed to the B-list last week, just like GaGa.

I think it is simply due to the fact that the promotion for "No can do" (a few TV performances, great TV airplay and good radio airplay so far) has lead to nothing in terms of album sales (out of top75) or single sales (No can do peaking at #80 on Itunes), so it shows people aren't keen on it at all.

And even if radios don't have to play popular music only, when it is that obvious that the general audience dont connect to a song, it may be rather understandable not to A-List it (though they are still playing it so it's not like they were ignoring it).

And I think "No can do" is better than "Issues", but nowhere as good as "The Loving Kind" in my opinion :)

But isn't the Sugababes album in the Top 75?? So you can't really say it's out of the Top 75 ;)

(If I'm wrong I'll apologise)

EDIT: I Apologise ^_^

I'm not moaning that they've only B-listed it, don't get me wrong. It doesn't exactly need the A-list, like you said it's done extremely well on airplay anyway, plus Radio 1 have A-listed every single since Easy.

It's run the last three weeks has been 69-91-81.

Well 91-81 is a Ten place climb so he can't say it hasn't done anything for the album ;)

It's actually #83 this week. :P But it's not doing a great deal for the album, it's yet to return it to the top 75, it's been selling peanuts every week for the past few weeks and if it doesn't help the album dramatically then it's not done it's job.

Well it's their fault then TBH (Well managements or whoever chose this over Every Heart Broken) because this song is boring and is not usual Sugababes standards! I think this era's over for them now!

Well, that was the general idea. You'd expect more from a second single than making the album return to... #81.

As far as I can see this era is over. No Can Do doesn't look set to trouble the Top 40, they begin writing for the next album in January, they'll be working on it until April and then again from July. I doubt there'll be a third single and even though it's a brilliant album, I don't want one given that it would flop. The album is artistic, but not commercial.

I really think what the problem is, is 'Girls'. Yeah it did ok as a single, but it was a lead single and did the minimum of what was expected of it, and had the gimmicky factor of the original song featured in an advert. But it convinced very very few people outside of their core fanbase to buy the album and it flopped really hard. Naturally when an album flops that bad, the rest of the project goes down the pan except in rare cases.

I personally like 'No Can Do' a lot, it's quite a catchy tune but it's not really enough to dig them out of this hole, 'Every Heart Broken' was about the only ace they had up their sleeve, and sadly nobody will care now whatever the third single is. :(
