OMG Girls Aloud added straight into the A-List :o :cheer:

The promise went straight to A-list aswell, i wonder why they do that?

Its good though, means they get massive sales around the single rather than too many too early.

Perfect timing for both playlists - i'm a happy bunny today now

As far as I can see this era is over. No Can Do doesn't look set to trouble the Top 40, they begin writing for the next album in January, they'll be working on it until April and then again from July. I doubt there'll be a third single and even though it's a brilliant album, I don't want one given that it would flop. The album is artistic, but not commercial.

Totally agree. It's not the quality lacking, its the marketability. For the fans who bought it though, sure it will remain a favourite :)

I really think what the problem is, is 'Girls'. Yeah it did ok as a single, but it was a lead single and did the minimum of what was expected of it, and had the gimmicky factor of the original song featured in an advert. But it convinced very very few people outside of their core fanbase to buy the album and it flopped really hard. Naturally when an album flops that bad, the rest of the project goes down the pan except in rare cases.

I personally like 'No Can Do' a lot, it's quite a catchy tune but it's not really enough to dig them out of this hole, 'Every Heart Broken' was about the only ace they had up their sleeve, and sadly nobody will care now whatever the third single is. :(

Not sure about EHB as a single. although i love the song. Something about it just doesn't say single to me. NCD is so catchy and i think its really fun, but it just hasn't captured people's imagination so far. Perhaps if they can come back with something more cutting edge as they have in the past they can return to prominence. While successful, the Girls point is probably true. Its a good version, but the association with an advert and the fact it is a demi-cover i think hurt their credibility. So instead of making people who wouldn't normally like the sugababes show interest, it kind of backfired. I mean, Girls has sold quite well (i suspect to casual non-fans quite a bit this time) but not convinced people to buy the album (i think Girls alienated many fans, and casual purchasers don't like the band enough to follow up a purchase of Girls with the album).

This debate has rolled on in many threads on buzzjack. Can't wait to see what they do next, they have a talent for reinvention :)

OMG Radio 2 has also A-listed the loving kind! :cheer:

I feel a HIT coming on

Thats quite amazing to enter on A-list! I still think this can make no1. Though no matter what they did right now it probably would have. As far as the media is concerned they can do no wrong particularly at the moment :)

WOOP WOOP!

Gaga iz in da hizouse!

Ida Maria :cheer:

Guru Josh and Killers :puke2:

I'm sick of these songs now, they don't need any more airplay...

I don't think GA was added straight unless you're talking about climbing straight up. Never mind.
