A Rush Of Blood To The Head

X&Y

Would be helpful if we had some discussion of why rather than just the name of the album...

X&Y is best for me as it flows well as an overall album with 2 seperate 'sides' to it. Ona song for song basis, it also has the best tracks over the other albums.

X+Y. I dont actually have Parachutes, or Viva La Vida, but I've downloaded most of the songs.

X+Y because it is just so, truly amazing, and the songs actually seem really meaningfull. I loved almost every song on there.

a rush of blod to the head as it was a greatr foloow up to parachutes and the level of songs moved up a nitch also the singles and video's were great from this album,,x and y almost got my vpte also as its another great album by them

X&Y

It just flows so well as an album. Like Matt said, it had two parts to it, so it sort of feels like two albums mixed into one. I like all of their albums but X&Y is the best. The first 3 albums are a trilogy, and the 3rd is just the best in the trilogy - best lyrics, best production, best vocals.

X&Y. Definatley their most amazing era for me, though the other 3 are also very amazing. But with standout tracks like 'Speed Of Sound', 'Fix You' and 'Talk', X&Y forever

Rating the albums of of 10:

Parachuttes 8 (A very good debut, but for me overshadowed by Elbows debut Asleep At The Back)

A Rush Of Blood To The Head 10 (Their "Joshua Tree" i.e. the career defining album. Near perfect in every way)

X And Y 7 (Easily their worst album, too commercial making thenm a sitting targets for their critics)

Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends 9 (A major recovery/reinvention after their "Rattle & Hum", even if it is not quite their "Achtung Baby")
