Who do you prefer? I prefer Babyshambles but I'll say my reason tomorrow.

When DPT first came around i loved them, even more than Babyshambles but now i realise i have always listened to Babyshambles alot more, i think it's because on their own Pete is a better songwriter than Carl (although together it is magic).

 

Also, some Babyshambles tracks i just love to put on all the time (Janie Jones, Pipedown, Killamangiro, Man Who Came To Stay etc) where as the only DPT track i play often is 'You f***ing Love It'.

At first thought, Dirty Pretty Things seemed an obvious choice, because I've played them a lot more recently (according to my last.fm) but that''s probably only to do with the splitting-up and the second album coming out.

 

Overall, I prefer Babyshambles, if only for f*** Forever and Delivery. Wasn't that impressed with 'Down in Albion', but Shotters Nation really was a brilliant album. Dirty Pretty Things have produced some great tracks over the last two years and I actually even quite liked Romance at Short Notice - Kicks or Consumption is a brilliant song, but I still think I prefer Babyshambles

Initially I played Dirty Pretty Things more as well as Waterloo To Anywhere was released the same time I reset my stats on last.fm :lol: But after the big disappointment that was Down In Albion which I didn't understand considering most of those were meant to be Libertines songs but a combination of bad production (Mick Jones just wasn't suited for it) and Pete being out of it for most of the recording played their part in it's downfall. :lol:

 

But then Shotters Nation became the first 8/10 album I can remember saying that could be better :lol: It's a very good album but we all know that Pete is capable of doing a lot better than that but I wouldn't complain if their next album was the same quality all the same. :lol:
