April 14, 200916 yr Author Tara Reid has reportedly signed on to star in the next direct-to-DVD instalment of the successful American Pie franchise. According to Moviehole, the actress has agreed to reprise the role of Vicki Lathum in American Pie Presents Book Of Love, which is thought to revolve around a group of teenagers discovering the 'sex book' made famous in the 1999 original. Scrubs director John Putch is helming the project, while American Pie 2 scribe David H. Steinberg has written the script. Reid's American Pie co-star Eugene Levy is rumoured to be in talks to return, while former EastEnders actress Louisa Lytton has also been linked to the movie. Earlier this year, it was reported that a fourth cinematic instalment of the franchise, focusing on the characters of Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), had been proposed.
April 17, 200916 yr If they're going to do this then the need Kevin, Jim, Finch, Stifler and the original girls. I would say Oz too but they left him out of the third one and it wasn't that different without him so yeah. I don't understand how it would work though since they would be in their late twenties now...
April 19, 201114 yr Author Alyson Hannigan has been announced as the latest original cast member to sign on for the upcoming American Pie sequel. The How I Met Your Mother star played band geek Michelle Flaherty in the original three films. Deadline reports that she has joined the rest of the cast for American Reunion. Universal previously revealed details of the fourth true instalment of the comedy series, including the names of returning cast members. The likes of Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Tara Reid and Chris Klein were on the list, while Hannigan was not originally. The new film will reportedly revolve around the original group arranging a ten-year reunion via Facebook. It will show how their lives have changed since 2003's American Wedding. Producer Craig Perry said last year that he hoped for a full cast to return to the series. American Reunion will arrive in cinemas in summer 2012. The series has spawned many direct-to-DVD sequels. DS Seems to be no Kevin or Finch :/
