So TheImagineer, a Popjustice poster who works for a music video company, has posted the following today:

The music video company I work at has just gotten word from Island that the projected third single from the album - Every Heart Broken - has been scrapped as the girls are launching into recording the new album far sooner than expected, and just wouldn't have the time to promote a third single. Interestingly, they also stated that it's a real shame as they recognise that Every Heart Broken is a fan favourite and standout album track.

Interesting to see they realise EHB is the fan fave. One can only hope that next time around they act on what they know...

It's definite though. No more singles.

Too bad....I hate when albums have potential great singles and then it is scrapped.

For instance:

Madonna's Hard Candy

Britney's Blackout

The Catfights and Spotlights era is over.
shame, EHB, CWCAT and Sidechick would have been great singles imo. still lets hope the next album does better, I have hopes!
They should put some of th best tracks of CF&SL as bonuses on the next album
Shame, but it made sense seeing how baddly the rest of the era was doing

Bonus songs wouldn't suit the feel of the next album i'd wager, so i'd rather they didn't, but i hope some fans rediscover this when the next album comes out and C&S is a fiver on the neighbouring rack this time next year :)

I feel mixed about this, on the one hand NCD is just taking off and i'd like them to sell as much of this album as possible although sales are below expectations. Also, EHB is great! I'd never have wanted a 4th single but when one of the strongest, most requested songs is left on the album it's always going to feel like wasted potential.

I wanted a 4th Change single for a while too, (NGDA/MLIP like most people as it was infuriating to see two of their finest electropop tracks miss a shot at the chart) but now looking back Girls was on radio from August so it would've been too close together, but they've never missed the top10 with a Xenomania track so sure either would've done well and may have got Change to double platinum.

Only bit that bugs me is the rushing back to the studio not giving them enough time- stop rushing girls! that's probably part of the problem!

Its a shame although the would run the risk of a 3rd single totally flopping tbh :( Really disappointed that EHB will now never get a release - Its an amazing track.

you never know, if no can do picks up or just has a long chart run, they might change their minds.

that's i big wish of mine as EHB would be a perfect single.

They can't just blow money on a video and CD release 'to please' the fans when it'll not get them anything back...
agree!! making a new album cost money aswell.. they can't all spend it right now!
