January 8, 200916 yr I find it odd that they are dropping this project yet spending money TV advertising the album in between CBB! Don't get me wrong I am pleased the album is being promoted but it seems they are not sure what they are doing (The record company I mean)
January 9, 200916 yr What a bad news! :o I hope they would release EHB. That's the "Ace Reject" of the album. and the chart will do higher I think.
January 11, 200916 yr No, I think they are making the right decision. CLEARLY people are not interested in the ladies this time round. Forcing out another single wont help - no matter HOW good it may be. They should hide away, let people put them to the back of their mind, record some killer music and bounce back in 18 months time with a good single. I also think the ladies need to sit down with their label and discuss what went wrong with this era.
January 11, 200916 yr i agree there is no interest in this era from the public so they may aswell move on and get the next era right,ha sthe album sold 100,000 yet??
January 11, 200916 yr Author I think eight months is more likely than eighteen Martin :heehee: Sugababes/Keisha are straight from the school of non-stop work ethics... It's sold about 90,000.
January 12, 200916 yr Eight? That wont be enough time. They need to chill out. Take a break for a bit. And then start working on the new material (IMO).
January 12, 200916 yr Yeah they really need to get out of the music industry for a bit, take a break, because continually going at such a pace is clearly having an effect on their music and their popularity.
January 12, 200916 yr As much as I wanted EHB as a single I'm glad they're back in the studio. They need to go away for a while and spend a lot of time on the new album. Hopefully they'll surprise us with something amazing this fall. I still don't get why they didnt just release EHB as a second single. No Can Do is great but Every Heart Broken is just effing amazing.
January 12, 200916 yr Author Yeah they really need to get out of the music industry for a bit, take a break, because continually going at such a pace is clearly having an effect on their music and their popularity. I disagree. 'Girls' wasn't what people wanted after 'About You Now' clearly and 'No Can Do' isn't as youthful as say 'Denial' or 'Issues'/'The Loving Kind'. They don't need a break, they just need more commercial music. Besides even if they did need one they wouldn't take one because Keisha does not do thattt.
January 12, 200916 yr I'm glad that EHB isnt single, I dont know why all they people say it is an amzaing track when IMO the chorus is very very poor and bland. The song hasnt the strength enough to be a single. The best single , IMO is Can We Call A Truce. Their voices sound amazing and the song has a message very easy to people love it. Girls No Can Do Can We Call A Truce Side Chick Nothing's As Good As You 4 me they are they are the good singles.
January 12, 200916 yr Truce is f***ing vile and would flop so hard it would make Siobhan look like a success story, and it would flop deservingly. I still think EHB needs a release. Then album #7 should be out late 2010 imo
January 12, 200916 yr Author Honestly if they waited 'til 2010 I would be so surprised. Traditionally they have always benefitted from christmas sales of their albums, even with Change (whose christmas single was deemed a 'flop'). This is what they need to do, I think: *Recording with US producers: Feb-April, July-Aug (because they're having May and June off appaz instead of Summer). That's five months which might not sound a lot but many, many albums are recorded in a lot short a space of time than people think. Artists wait two years or whatever between albums but most of that time isn't spent recording. P!nk made Funhouse in less than five months, Britney made Circus in less than five months, Destiny's Child made Destiny Fulfilled in one month LOL. *First single goes to radio late August. Stormer of a song with a calm breakdown in the middle 8 before a final chorus kicks back in. Think About You Now with rockier influences - the whole 'rock' production on pop songs thing is very in right now and always sounds expensive. *Single released on download early-October, CD a week later. Two weeks later in the final week of October the album is released. Album signings in HMV stores in Manchester, Birmingham and London in release week. *Second single goes to radio and TV early December. Download 'release' is early-Jan and the CD release mid-Jan, a la Issues/TLK. Second single isn't a ballad but a midtempo with a big singalong chorus. Ballad can be saved for third. [/too much thought]
January 12, 200916 yr Oh dear at Jark, way too much thinking there LOL Truce is a nice enough song however as a single it would be awful, possibly the worst choice of single there is.
January 12, 200916 yr tbf i dont think there was a better lead single on the album than Girls, No Can Do is a brill second single choice and if there was to be a third release it would need to be a ballad an out of:- - Unbreakable Heart - Sunday Rain - Every Heart Broken - Sound Of Goodbye - Can We Call A Truce i would choose either Sunday Rain or Every Heart Broken because they are more modern and different to other the other releases which is what i think the babes third releases usually are, except Stronger.
January 12, 200916 yr EHB should get released! Don't think Truce would do well- is not that good as a single.
January 13, 200916 yr oh well its another disapointment for me... happens every album sugababes wise... ok so singles where great but with 'angels' i wanted blue and virgin sexy and 'taller' i wanted ace reject but for me 'change' was the big one 'never gonna dance again' and 'my love is pink' could both have been huge... they're for me good enough to have been the lead single that saved the 'catfights' album i also way prefered 'mended by you' as a ballard to 'change' now 'every heart b' not getting a release and so close! such a shame!
January 24, 200916 yr Maybe they'll do what Britney did with Radar. It's Good idea but i read somewhere that Radar was ment to have an "updated mix" when it isnt its the same version as blackout...However if the babes did release it on their new album, even do a new mix of it...Celine Dion did that. My mum has both her New Day Has Come & One Heart albums and there is a track on both but ones a ballad and ones more dancy...they babes could maybe do something like that.
January 25, 200916 yr I think its a bit of a shame. I know the album has really underperformed but its actually a great album and I like it better than "change". I hope they don't rush release the next album or work with awful producers like timbaland just to try and come back and do well.
