I like how it made national news....

I looked at my girlfriend and said "National news?!"

It was quite funny though. :P

This was the best episode ever.

For the national news, and the scene in the kitchen where Ian was telling Zainab to turn the hob down, and he was like "THE KNOB'S ON YOUR SIDE", to which Christian's repsonse was "ARE U SURREEE?". Quite alright.

Tonight  I love the dynamic in the kitchen! The Massoods are godly. Where was Jane though? They kept referencing her in that obvious way Dot always references Jim even though he's on his last legs. I hope poor Jane isn't on her last legs. I'd cry!
PRICELESS Gary does it again  Loved it when everyone in the pub was just gobsmacked.
Best epi in weeks and weeks! Properly sharp writing tonight. 'He was always very punctual collecting his service wash'

You know, I moved over from the states about 15 months ago, and I've only just started watching this. Everyone loves talking about it at my workplace.

I watched a couple of episodes in the last few weeks, and it's better than any U.S soap I've seen. OK, the acting is definitely not great, but it's so much more believable and fun to watch.

What's going on with Ronnie & her daughter? There's been little mention of them in the last few episodes. Would anyone be kind enough to explain what's going on? I can't seem to find any info ANYWHERE (yes, I'm that interested... how sad).

That tends to happen, they'll focus on a few storylines in a week and put others in the background for a while. (presumably to give the actors some free time)

I don't know if you're saying you're wondering where they are if you don't know what's happened between them so far. If it's the latter, you can have a look at her Wikipedia article to keep you up to date. Her character actually has a diary on the Eastenders website too which I noticed today and found out she went back to Telford after having the abortion. (I think I missed that episode) Apparently she

tells Ronnie on Mother's Day

Ahh, gotcha. Thanks for the information.

It's such an interesting storyline, which is wild considering I'm usually pretty cynical when it comes to soap operas...

isnt there supposed to be some sortt of twist to the danielle and ronnie revelation though

I didn't hear anything.

Edward Woodward is who Norma meant. He played the lead role in a show called Callan way back.

And he was the hardest, meanest, toughest b*stard ever to grace the TV screens. If people thought Regan in The Sweeney was tough ... they obviously hadn't crossed Callan. Woodward was later to be seen in that godawful American drama ... The Equalizer. He is perhaps best known though for his role in the brilliantly disturbing original film of The Wicker Man where he played the innocent, virgin police sargeant Neil Howie lured to the remote Scottish Isle to find the missing Rowan Morrison, only to find that he was in fact to be the main attraction in the island's annual 'Giant Bonfire Festival'.
