The Wicker Man is a twisted film...so creepy

I found it very disturbing but never classed it within the 'horror' genre. Still the film was excellent ... and Christopher Lee as Lord Summerisle with a long blond wig will live me for a long time!

Has anyone here seen the remake (Nicolas Cage) and was it as bad as everyone says it was?

Norma

so what did everyone think of tyesdays episodes with it been an all black cast for the episode,i enjoyed the episode and i dont think i would have realised about it been an all black cast had the papers not went on about it as for i dont take any heed of colour especially on tv where its even less noticable

Coronation Street won the early evening soaps battle last night with 10m (42.2%) tuning in for its first episode at 7.30pm.

The second visit to Weatherfield, which saw bankrupt kitchen fitter Joe McIntyre make a surprising deal with Len Windass, pulled in 9.26m (36.3%) at 8.30pm.

BBC One's EastEnders delivered 9.38m (37%) for its 8pm episode, which saw Lucas Johnson's ex-wife Trina made a surprise appearance in Walford. The later BBC Three repeat added 809k (4.8%), making EastEnders the most-watched programme of the day overall.

it sgreat to see such good ratings and i wish the corrie fans would realise many of eastenders fan wait for the repeats rather than the first showing.,,i know myself i watch the later showing rather than the early as it suits me better ,and i think many fans are the same

I watch the omnibus of Corrie though most times ... so the ratings work out about square! I must admit - EE was funny tonight ... a bit forced ... but still funny.

Agreed. Awful character. Still, that's another EE deadweight gone!

Danielle gets killed off on the 2nd April. She is run over on the day of Peggy and Archie's wedding.

Shoat was right! They really ARE taking note of our feedback!

Bend It Like Beckham star Preeya Kalidas is joining the cast of EastEnders, it has been announced.

The 29-year-old actress will start filming in April for her role as Amira, the girlfriend of forthcoming character Syed Masood (Marc Elliott).

"I can't wait for this next exciting adventure - to be part of a much loved and respected TV show," Kalidas told The Mirror. "My family have watched it for years."

The show's executive producer Diederick Santer added: "Preeya is a talented and gorgeous actress, and I can't wait to see what happens when Amira comes on the scene."

Amira is expected to "ruffle feathers" when she makes her Albert Square debut in the spring.

A Walford insider revealed: "She's very high maintenance and thinks she is quite the socialite. Syed's mum Zainab just wants to find out if she's good enough for her son. She's spoilt and snobbish. But underneath she is a lonely and insecure girl.

She's been in Bodies as well as the current series of Mistresses. She's a very good actress. :o
