Posted January 13, 200916 yr Over the last few years we have seen lots of songs spend weeks in the top 40 while the follow up single makes little impact. How many songs can you think of that have done this. I don't remember this happening in the past but 2 I can remember were Bryan Adams (his next 2 singles peaked lower than the position of Everything I Do in that week) and Leann Rimes whose follow up to How Do I Live peaked at 38 while How Do I Live was at 32.
January 13, 200916 yr Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me was higher when Save The Lies entered the chart and peaked. Sam Sparro - Black And Gold was higher too than 21st Century Life
January 13, 200916 yr Estelle - No Substitute Love peaked at #29 while American Boy was #1. FIXED -_-
January 13, 200916 yr speaking of estelle shes only really had one hit with her album all the others songs she released last year have totally flopped.
January 13, 200916 yr I don't know about No Subs Love... but it's Top 40. NSL was definitely NOT at 29 the week that American Boy was number one, especially considering it peaked at 30 in June :/

January 13, 200916 yr Wiley's Summertime didn't do as well as Wearing My Rolex, although Cash In My Pocket has done a bit better, Edited January 13, 200916 yr by GAV
May 21, 200916 yr Kings Of Leon's Sex On Fire and Use Somebody were always above third single Revelry.
May 21, 200916 yr It looks like The Killers could do a reverse of KoL - for the latter, Sex On Fire and Use Somebody were both ahead of Revelry at all times, while the latter's Human will probably be ahead of both Spaceman and The World We Live In (epic flop) at all times. KoL had two ahead of 1, Killers will have 1 ahead of 2. Is Human still top 75? *checks* EDIT: Amazingly, Human is still #63 (though it fell 8 places this week). It will probably fall out of top 75 this week, I would suppose... Edited May 21, 200916 yr by B-rye
May 21, 200916 yr Okay, 30. I guess I misread the thread. The pedantic one makes a mistake! :heehee:
May 22, 200916 yr Rihannas Take A Bow was still in the top ten during If I Never See Your Face Again's chart run.
