Fantastic for Lily, hope she can be #1 by the end of the day. I love GaGa and the song but it's been at the top spot for too long now.
And why Normal wouldn't be able to seperate the music from the media gossip too? Sorry, you're not the only clever person on this board (especially when you feel the need to throw up old gossip in the itunes thread  ).

Lily once trashtalked Cheryl, I'm not going to hate her for that, because actually she must be (one of) the brighter and most amazing solo female artist(s) to emerge this decade.

Yeh i dont dislike lily allen for talking rubbish about cheryl. I dislike her for her annoyingness.

But that doesnt stop me thinking that The fear is a good song. A good song is a good song. But i'd find it amusing if it flopped just because i dont like her.

I thinking wishing a flop on an album that a lot of hard work has gone into before you've even heard it is pretty ridiculous (that's directed at Aly) - at least give it a listen first (when it leaks obv) so that you don't ending up stuffing your face with humble pie when it does flop and you decide you wish it hadn't because it's actually a bloody good album.

ANYWAY I'm babbling now. It won't flop, so...

I've always hated Lily Allen as a person and her music (bar Littlest Things) but even i have to admit that The Fear is a very good song. I still want her to go back to the rock she crawled from under though LOL.

Alright, and then when there is $h!t at the top of the charts you will complain...

The song is ace and deserves to do well, if you even admitt it I really don't understand how you can wish it a flop.

Where exactly do i say i want it to flop?

I will listen to the album, but regardless I'd like to see it flop simply because she's that objectionable and needs to come back down to earth with an almighty thud. ^_^

Unfortunately from your point of view, she is in a no lose position.

If her album flops The Feeling 2nd album style (which it wont) because from all the demo songs that have leaked it will be of a significantly higher quality than Alright Still IMHO (where the singles literally picked themselves); then the bookies now have her as favourite to be the next X-Factor judge (likely to replace Dannii Minogue) and cause a nice bit of friction with Cheryl Cole; and she was the favourite to be the Series 5 Dr Who assistant (although the bookies favourite is now Michelle Ryan seeing as she is filming the Easter Dr Who special).

Superb single from Lily. Really stands out on the radio, and perversely shows far more of the influence of the Pet Shop Boys than Girls Aloud's The Loving Kind which was co-penned by PSB.
If only.

She's made the Saturdays recent media whoring seem as reclusive as Kate Bush.

In the last week she has hosted Monday night's Radio 1 Zane Lowe show & has turned up on Chris Moyles, Nick Grimshaw & Sara Cox's shows. She did a session on Radio 6 Music & has turned up for interviews on Absolute & XFM radio.

She is on the front cover of this week's NME having done an exclusive interview (& bad mouthing the Fleet Foxes ), as well as her now disastrous interview in this month's The Word magazine which has unquestionably damaged her sales to music fans over the age of 30.

In the next few days her UK TV appearances are:

Sat 24th BBC2 Sound 12:50

Sun 25th C4 T4's Orange Unsigned Act 13:00

Fri 30th BBC1 Jonathan Ross Show 22:35

Sat 31st C4 T4's Live Music TBA

Mon 2nd ITV GMTV TBA

Sun 8th C4 The Sunday Night Project 22:05

The forums most informed and knowledgeable poster on music by far.

And you are of course entitled to this point-of-view, despite the fact that it's utterly retarded. :)

well im afraid all those that want lily to flop arent going to get there wish.

She'll definitley be number one in the charts next sunday and i'll be shocked if her albums not top 5 when its released.

You may not like her as a person but as an artist shes hugely popular and talented, not just in the uk but pritty much through europe too!

I presume shes released "the fear" in the states too?
