January 25, 200917 yr 45 Shontelle > T-Shirt 28 Jordin > One Step 28 14 Alesha > BS 13 13 GA > Loving Kind 14 10 P!nk > Sober 06 Bey > Single Ladies I was so close! :( Glad I was wrong though, means Breathe Slow (compowowowwowwwwzshaaa) is higher. :D
January 25, 200917 yr Author Its fairer? That's open to debate. You only had cd's to buy at the time, which is exactly what the chart was about. Dont really care about the turnover at the top, I'm much more interested in new entries, which any year of the 90s and 00s offered more than 08 and 09. Actually, any year since the 50s...I think that says it all. Well, now if you buy something then it will be added to the chart - no more silly rules and a wider range of new songs further down the chart. The charts have moved with the times, it is as simple as that.

January 25, 200917 yr I'm thinking P!nk is shoe-in for #11 somehow, I hope to god I'm wrong about that though. :(
January 25, 200917 yr The new entries doesn't depend on the chart it depends on the release schedule of the record companies, than promotions etc. It depends on the fact that loads of releases are never out to download on I-Tunes. And lets not forget a lot of the market, especially dance, will never do well on downloads. DJ's buy cd's, as do many dance fans, especially to have mixes and all. Those are never gonna impact on a chart dominated by downloads. And when nowadays cd's are hard to buy, it will only get worse. And that applies for other songs that havent gather enough airplay to chart, which wasnt as important in the Cd era.
January 25, 200917 yr Yay, im glad Alesha is doing so well :) Is she still on D/L? Yep. Is her first album good by the way? Nearly bought in HMV Manchester at the weekend, but it was £20! :o
